post 1 (one) game where its useful

flight games

Really, any shooter with vehicles. Lets you control steering in a more precise way while still aiming freely.

Of course, a better option would be analog WASD keys.

Analog movement is vastly better than wasd movement but only if the "stick" has a good range

There's no game that lets you use both an analog stick and a mouse in the same control scheme. That mouse is just as pointless an endeavor as trying to play with a mouse and PS Move or Joycon.

Sure there are. The analog stick would simply replace WASD.

There are shitloads of games which allow this. In fact it’s a key part of the Steam Controller’s operating principles. Unfortunately, you are correct, not ALL games allow it, but the more analogue/mouse hybrid hardware that penetrates the peripheral market, the more likely it becomes.

Any RTS, MOBA to move the camera.

I wonder if some people collect all those weird mice

It's better in specific scenarios.

It's more fun

numbers on the thumb for mice is amazing, you can play an rts with one hand, that looks like it may be carpal tunnel
now that you mention it, that sounds like a cool collection
