>left joycon keeps drifting even after i clean the joystick
>have enough and get a pro controller
>everything is well for a couple of days
>start noticing way too many wrong dpad inputs when i play celeste even though i know i'm not at fault
>try holding up and tilt the up button to the side without touching the side buttons and the ginger bitch moves
>went to buy a new one today and it has the same problem
how could nintendo completely fuck up the design of both the joycons and the pro controller and still charge 70 dollary doos for both of them? how in the ever loving fuck did they get away with this shit?
Left joycon keeps drifting even after i clean the joystick
>tfw left stick of my pro is riddled with tiny bubbles
How do I even get this shit to go away?
wtf do you do to your hardware? Ive had both since day 1 and they work fine.
Wtf, do you have incredibly sweaty fingers or something?
what the fuck did you do to it? Why is it white?
Holy shit, you gave your Joy-cons herpes.
did you not read the sentence where i said i went to buy a new one TODAY, got home and tested it and it still happened?
and did you miss people complaining about the joycon drifting for so long now that people tried to sue nintendo for it? or the fact that if you google right now "switch pro controller dpad" the first result will be a video of how to fix it?
this
I've had the exact same d-pad issues. Not a huge problem, I just bought Puyo Puyo Tetris on PC instead of Switch.
I don't understand either, the rest Joycon is good, the problem is the Joystick, whoever designed it is a complete retard, it's like desiging a toilet with a shit container.
Was Joycon Drift a meme? After the lawsuit situation where they said they would fix them for free I have not heard a single peep about this issue at all. Almost like it... never existed.
I have this but with my right Joycon, don’t know why it happens either.
>company agrees to fix their shit hardware
>people stop complaining since their hardware is getting fixed
Woah....
You are posting on a thread about it retard.
Nintendo 's hardwares are bullshit
Dont pay atention for the shills . They are paid to protect Nintendo
No it wasn't a fucking meme you retard. Once Nintendo said they would fix them out of warranty for free there was a lot less to complain about. Is it inconvenient? Certainly. But you aren't spending 45 dollars on repair or 80 dollars for new controllers.
My stick had a few small "dimples" but not even close to your extend. Did you maybe leave it on a hot surface without realizing?
Feels good to be a devout analogue stick fag when it comes to the Pro controller. I'll happily trade "muh precision" for a more natural resting place for my thumb
Give up.
Join /csg/ and buy chink controllers.
I own every single Nintendo console and I've only encountered hardware problems twice, a 3DS that had a faulty volume slider and the Joystick Joycons, worst part is, every single Joystick Joycon is bound to fail due to a HUGE design flaw.
The one small downside to those is that they can’t wake the console, right?
Yes. Maybe a new firmware in the future could fix this.
Are there any good N64 style controllers you can get?
For the Switch? afaik no.
Bro, I told you not to let your Nintendo make a tinder account.
Stop cumming on it
8bitdo used to make n64 style controller, but not anymore
>fix
AHAHAHAHA
you cannot a product by using a flawed design plan. nintendo fucked up with how they designed the joycons and they literally cannot fix it unless they make a new model
i took my pro controller apart to try and fix this stupid fucking dpad and it says "made in china" on it, so i technically already have bought one and it really shows
you can sort of fix the dpad with duck tape
Imagine paying $60 for a Switch pro controller when an adapter and the Wii U pro cost $20 each. Or you could skip the Wii U pro and use another controller you already have and like.
> unless they make a new model
Wrong, they only need to change one piece, the Joystick, which makes it even more stupid since they keep producing them with that piece of shit.
they did fix the issue with the antenna, maybe in the future they'll replace the stupid design of the joystick
yeah that's what i'm trying to do now
$70, and sadly i've only learned my lesson now that i wasted double that amount
if anything they need to change the graphite contact pads that get worn out and leave a bunch of debris in there, but a new joycon model is a must because of how flimsy they feel. they're really small and they feel like they can break quite easily
Hopefully, because I refuse to purchase them until they fix the issue.
The WiiU pro doesn't have gyro tho. If you use like, a DS4, does the gyro works?
>thing has issue out of the box
>go BUY exact same thing again for exact same price
why? why do you just buy another of the same thing instead of maybe contacting support for the thing you just got?
I opened one up and it's a combination of what you say and dust that hapens to get inside, the rest of the hardware is of good quality. Also, I'll never understand why they charge the same for either when the left has half the hardware.
It works, but you may as well use the switch pro (40hs vs 4hs of battery)
are there even any games where gyro is a must?
i needed another one anyway to play coop
Any shooter is much better with gyro. There's not a lot on Switch, but I play a ton of Splatoon and bit of Immortal Redneck so gyro is a must.
i tried it with botw once and it was really disorienting, i don't like having to move my controller so much. if anything the analogue stick should be better because you won't have any random movements if you suddenly decided to move your arms to the side to get more comfortable
If you are moving the controller that much, you are using it wrong
i change positions frequently so obviously the controller is going to move, what if i play while lying down and facing sideways? how the hell am i gonna aim like that?
You retards do realize you can use electro-contact cleaner under the rubber cap and not worry about it again, right?
It’s nintendos fault the hardware is shit but either sell it or fix it for $5, christ.
whatever, they're shit anyway
maybe if i'll have a 3rd person to play with i'll bother with that
You need to buy a XC2 or SSB special edition pro controller, they have better D-Pad for some reason. They cost so fucking much that I haven't unboxed my XC2 pad since it launched though
Not all of them have a fixed d-pad. The XC2 I bought didn't. Immediatelly refunded that shit and waited a whole year to buy a normal pro controller, which had a fixed d-pad.
i am not buying nintendo related hardware ever again, the switch and everything associated with it is trash. the dualshock 4 i had since i bought the ps4 launch model 3 or 4 years ago still works and i never had a single issue with it or the console, if only the console had some games on it
>have a DS3 for 7 years now
>never had a single problem ever
the only occasional annoyance is that the right or left trigger get pushed in for a second if you put the controller down on a flat surface. this is a slight but known issue but it's ultimately a complete non-issue since you're not playing anyway if you gotta put it down. that being said, it's the best controller I ever had and I use it for everything. still would like to try out an Xbox or Nintendo one just to see if they hold up just as much. btw 3rd party controllers I had were not as decent. the logitech F510 had a fucked up right trigger that flip on its own.
i have the fucking drifting on my left stick on a fucking pro controller, have to blow on it every 5-6 minutes
why is the quality inside so fucking shit?, i actually like the controller but jesus for that money i could have bought like 3 of those mario/zelda wired controllers
Guess it's just luck then
Launch Dualshock 4 sticks were literally falling to pieces though. Also my Xbone controller had the RB button die on me after 1 week of playing with it
It's all so tiresome
>mario/zelda wired controllers
those are shit too
funny post
>Launch Dualshock 4 sticks were literally falling to pieces though.
you mean the rubber caps? that did happen but the sticks themselves still work and i had no problem with it otherwise
That seriously looks disgusting. Like those lotus seed pictures.
Also not having a bag full of these laying around to protect your thumbsticks.
Yes the rubber caps, it's still pretty bad
for some reason it only happened on the left one though, and only about half of it came off so i had to take off the rest
i did get a new controller eventually but unlike joycon drifting or malfunctioning dpads it's not a major issue
I wish mine's sticks hadn't become loose, or I'd still be using it.
