Literally all FE: 3H needs is full in-depth character creation & it would be the best Nintendo game of this Gen

I imagine there would be one less route and GD would probably suffer since I feel BL was the first route to be finished.

She's supposed to be a misguided villain with good intentions blinded by trauma but because she's a cute girl and her ending is good people somehow think warmongering is a good idea
If her ending werent so easy and she spent the rest of her life quelling rebellions and trying desperately to keep together this new land she turned upside down, it would properly accentuate the point that the magnitude of her actions while maybe good in the REALLY long term has caused considerable amount of suffering in the short term to the point where one might ask if it was even worth it

I like her as a villain and yuri option. I like Dimitri as a sort of broken here and otome route. And I like Claude as bro I wish he was bisexual with classic fire emblem feel route.

Add a chapter or two where you deal with the dubstep assholes; was it really so hard to write a way for Edelgard to betray Thales/Arundel before the final boss, instead of relegating it to being handled offscreen in the epilogue?

Being fair, even Edelgard's path has you against the slithers. She's just playing the long game against them, like when she played 3d chess to kill Cornelia.

Actually be able to to kill more than one dubstepper in her route. Her and Hubert don't really hide just how badly they want to kill them so putting it in the epilogue is a massive disappointment.

As opposed to what, going against the slithers immediately and thus being stripped of all your power since they control the state and get sent back to the rape basement?

Probably unpopular but I'd cut Gold Deer and Church routes and give the lore and dealing with the slitherers to the Lions and Eagles. That way Eagles doesn't feel so unfinished and Lions gets more than just the great character writing.

Add two more maps, deal with the Dubstep in a more developed way, not just a dumb epilogue "And then the dubstep was also defeated during Edelgard's reign"

How about making the campaign longer to match the rest of the routes for one.
