I prefer hub based RPGs to be honest.

Gothic 2
>hub based
>real RPG
lel, try action adventure

TES for at least trying to make the world feel alive. Witcher 3 just didn't bother with that aspect.

witcher 3

i hope itsuno si working on dragons dogma 2.
it would be amazing to have it now that capcom is letting him do whatever the fuck he wants with no time constrains.

Skyrim :)

You're gonna need better bait

>awful combat
>empty world

Dark Souls

Noooo but you have a bazillion points of uninterest, you can walk through the empty town and stare at the beautiful buildings and do absolutely nothing.

and even with that, the best open world rpg

FF7

Witcher III

Gothic and it's not a contest

Name a single actual RPG that is open world.

Why, Might and Magic 6 of course.

Ultima

Fallout 1&2

Dragon's Dogma.

Without that, it's got nothing.

xenoblade X

this but unironically

and still is the best open world rpg

Kingdom Come: Deliverance and soon to be Cyberpunk 2077
