The only issue I had with it were the horrible battle graphics. The upscaling of the low-res sprites on the DS' low res screens with the horrible algorithms the DS could handle, coupled with the spastic camera made battles really unpleasant to look at.
But from a story standpoint, I'm glad they finally tried something that broke the mold a bit and was more mature.
