Now that the dust has settled what went wrong
A bad first impression. I don't care if the game actually gets good at this point; once they tried to fuck me over, I didn't want to have anything to do with them.
Map design is the non-meme answer
EA
I recently got this. Battlefront 1 felt like I was in a Star Wars movie. Battlefront 2 feels like a barely Star Warsy GAME.
Also the sounds are way off. Lightsabers don't sound like lightsabers and even the blaster sounds are off.
Biggest bait and switch with the campaign ever but the again I shouldn't be shocked seeing as Disney would never allow anything that's not pro-rebellion or whatever they want to call the terrorist organizations they label the heros as
the only map that I've found unbearably aids is the one where you have to storm a hill as the first order shit is literally just a suicide fest
The fuck is wrong with you. What a tard.
It isn't, along with Battlefront 2015, a Battlefront game.
It's its own interpretation, which is a superficial one.
I played Battlefront II (the original) recently on the PS2 and had more enjoyment despite the retarded AI.
Just put the AI to its highest difficulty and turn off aim-assist, you'll enjoy it more.
Dilate
Sneed
Capitalism
Capitalism is better than the alternative: starvation
Tried to play but the only people left there are the buy fags and their maximum level buff cards that pub stomp endlessly.
this. i hate these autists that only play maxed put heroes and try to run the game. the only good thing is if you humiliate them a few times, they will rage quit. but yeah its impossible to level up a hero with fags like that playing ALL the time
heroes and cards
Fucking based
You get triple exp events to lvl them up fast all the time, there is one up right now
You cant but card upgrades though. They've just been playing the game and actually upgraded their guy over time. Even on launch you couldnt just get free card upgrades unless you bought the super duper day 1 edition.
Git gud.
Unironically this.
The matches start off almost okay. A little bit of a clusterfuck but then everyone gets a super trooper or hero or whatever a minute or two in. Then its just a game of you running from a roided up player or you chasing down basic enemies as a roided up player. It misses its mark completely. Yeah that smaller scale match has mostly basic units but that fails to capture the scale of previous battlefront games. And Star Cards are bad. Even today. Especially today. Now it isn't pay to win at the moment but it still actively punishes new players. Its still really gay.
This whole game is still a mess.
How to ruin a match in 3 easy steps
>Walker defense
>3-4 heros
>Unlimited overtime
No content on launch, and the a desperate attempt to pander to prequel kiddies a year after.
You can have multiple heroes per side? That's stupid, outside of a hero mode anyway.
The old school one you had one per side and you could give it to a random player, best player, etc. Whenever I hosted I'd set it to the worst guy on the server.
Not a single gun added post launch despite the promise.
Once you pass the 2 minute mark, there will be four heroes on the map for the rest of the game. Its no longer a battlefront game then. Its a shitty mashup of heroes fighting while everyone else runs off until they can coordinate enough people to focus fire them down. The map design is very linear meaning you will run into them constantly.
People often complained, before Battlefront 2015 came out, that DICE will just create a reskinned Battlefield game.
But I'm willingly to bet that those same people would prefer that to what they got.
The core gameplay was pretty much Battlefield, anyway, with more options for single player.
>People often complained, before Battlefront 2015 came out, that DICE will just create a reskinned Battlefield game.
The sad thing is that is exactly what I wanted. Battlefield 3 or 4 with a Star Wars skin slapped on. Now I just want them to let the game die and move on.
