So what if we took Bloodmoon but made whole game from it and added shouting and dragons?

it's almost like capitalism encourages minimum effort and laziness

That does sound like a good idea, too bad they didn't go through with it and made Skyrim instead

This
At least Nords in Bloodmoon had their former culture

you're overselling Skyrim

>So what if we took Tribunal but made whole game from it and added portals and daedra?
>Great idea Todd!

The failing of capitalism are 100% the consumers fault.

If everybody saw skyrim as shit and didnt buy it, they would make better games.

Give me a rundown on pre-skyrim nords.

I fucking wish the nords still had their culture instead of trying to be GoT.
They sounded really cool in sons of the sky.
>Talos this and Talos that, motherfuckers forgetting about Kyne.

Skyrim is the greatest game of this decade and the only other game that could attempt to rival it in popularity and praise is GTA 5. Its qualities are numerous and can be appreciated by casuals and hardcore gamers alike. It transcends cultural background and unifies people under its fun and interesting playing experience
Yea Forumsirgins will try to deny this and this is why Yea Forums will always remain wrong and continue to be nigger dick sucking cuckold faggots.

Soooo.... it's failed

Hundreds of millions of people making the wrong decisions daily. Not the system's fault though lol

> So what if we took Bloodmoon but
playable

It could have more involved mechanics
Its a very shallow game mechanically

I get what you mean user. Polish and thought missed at certain parts of the game, but the volume of the mechanics and the illusion of the worldspace they create, that you as a person and player character inhabit is absurd. The complexity is low but your involvement is basically infinite for a handcrafted game. It rivals any immersive sim in that regard while existing on a much larger scale.
I have played every TES game up to Daggerfall and quite frankly Bethesda managed to consecutively create THE defining RPG game of its generation and for that, no matter how hard they shit on their legacy in the future, they have my eternal respect.

Mainly the Nordic Pantheon, which was much more totemic, they have this whole thing about the respect of nature (not in the hippie way). Now the skaals don't believe in the nordic pantheon but they have the same culture.

Replied to the wrong guy

>trusting the consumers
>trusting the laborers
>not trusting the warrior aristocracy
anything post-1600 is a philosophy of reprobates and degenerates

so does communism but even more

So you became a commie because a lot of people like a game you didn't.

You are retarded and you would have been the chieftains ass washer who he regularly bends over and fucks

Absolute bad-ass motherfuckers that worshipped some fucked up gods and had a WITNESS ME lifestyle, they were pretty much the human version of the Dunmer of Vvardenfell.

Nordic murals in the ruins show this in game.
They even show various deities as animals, Shor is a fox, Tsunis a bear....

So in the older lore Alduin WAS the equivalent of Akatosh rather than his "son"?

Wasn't Skyrim originally made out to be a frozen hellscape with mostly stone cities?

There are multiple conflicting accounts of the creation myth(s). Some high level lorefag can probably help out with the timelines and all

Yes but the nordic religion is hardly talked about: Orkey and Orma Mora are not mentionned and Shor is just a name that nords use when they swear. The disappearence of the nordic religion is rarely used in the game

Akatosh = The beginning
Alduin = The End

There's also the Khajiit and Breton lore on this, also Akaviri and the Ice continent lore.

This is the N'wah shit tho, the only dragon we care is Paarthunax because he served Kyne and saved humanity from slavery.

it would be cool to see that, but it's plausible that they've changed their ways after hundreds of years of imperial influence
probably related to the fact that the Nords you see in the older games are all the adventurers and warriors, and in Skyrim your seeing the common folk who just want to plant turnips in peace
they really should have have a time of year based weather system in skyrim
it doesnt make any sense for there to be large populations of people in places that are perenially snow covered, but you can have large populations in places that have even short growing seasons, but still cold and snowy most of the time

I remember one of Todd's lies was dynamic snowfall in real time.

>Nords you see in the older games are all the adventurers and warriors
Because those are the type you see outside the country. I don't get why a race should only have one type of profession. Having them all adventurers and warriors in their own country wouldn't make sense.

In the ancient nordic religion, yes
To the nords, the Dragon God of Time is Alduin, to the nords it's Akatosh and Alduin is his first son

That's the main explaination but it raise a question: why is this not talked about in Skyrim, where half of the Nords despise the Empire and want to secede from the Empire ? Surely the replacement of their religion would be a talking point

Not really. If you don't give 110% when working you get shot.

right, that's what Im sayin, your average dirt farmer isnt gonna leave his little plot of land, much less travel to Cyrodiil
head cannon C0DA: could be that it happened long enough ago those alive never knew the old pantheon, their forefathers already converted, but they still have political grievances, not without historical precedent, the pagans of Europe converted to Christianity fairly quick, within a few hundred years, except for some holdouts on the fringes
in reality probably, Tod was too lazy or thought it would confuse people to have another set of gods who may or may not be the same as some others already named

It seemed to me that the old pantheon was still active during Oblivion and Morrowind
Todd didn't want to put work into the Nord's religion, that's all even though religion was one of the coolest aspect of Morrowind

the nords are all stupid motherfuckers in Skyrim.
I never play one because they're so fucking dumb.
they might as well be human orcs. that's their whole personality, really.

>Todd didn't want to put work into the Nord's religion, that's all even though religion was one of the coolest aspect of Morrowind

Todd also ditched Mysticism which is tied to religion like no other skill.

Plus pagans and Nords are not on the same level: Nords have always been respected in the Empire, the Imperial knew how to please them by praising their greatness (the whole Skyrim is the Fatherland, the Old Kingdom)

It's like people don't really, truly understand the snake/whale/wolf/hawk puzzles, or read the books and look at the decor.

what's with all the recent skyrim threads all of a sudden?

en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Gods

I encourage TES anons to look under the Skyrim (Nord) column, and click each deity there. There are parallels to the Imperial Cult, but you will see some differences.

Yea Forums is bored and full of normies and those who just hate Todd.

Skyrim was a good game. Better than Oblivion. Not as good as Morrowind but at the same time everyone would rather play Skyrim in 2019 t han Morrowind due to how poorly it aged, so it doesn't mean much.

Skyrim is Bethesda's most playable game. Manbaby meltdowns about Todd and memes have tried to rewrite history for years but it's never worked.

Where the hell have you been?
There has been at least one Skyrim thread since it launched.

Idk, though I do feel that Todd/Bethesda seem to think their audience is increasingly dull-witted. It's low-key insulting.

We're trying to CHIM TES VI into not sucking it wont work.

Attached: 1554683374672.jpg (472x357, 24K)

There's always Skyrim and Souls games threads on here almost every hour.

well it's only natural you see, since skyrim is the best game of all time.

Attached: todd-howard-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-fallout-4-bethesda-todd-howard-png-900_1040[1].jpg (900x1040, 173K)

well, they're not wrong, theyre trynna make money, and Skyrim was the 3rd best selling game of 2011, even if Morrowind is superior, do you think it would have been even top 100?

I think they're the type that just go "lol Nordic ruins all look same and are just Draugr XD" like many do in threads like these do.

>there should be a time of year based weather system in skyrim
they game jammed it, so it was probably talked about but never implemented because upper management bethesda and zenimax are kikes

Nords have been ruled by the empire for a very long time they're lucky they have anything of their ancient culture left, it's one of the reasons the Stormcloaks are chimping out.
