Remenant From the Ashes

What do you guys think of it? Any nice builds you got?

eh it's fine 7/10

It's fun as fuck. Only thing I'm doing is hunting rifle and pistols combo for long and mid-short range. Might switch it up though

It's a 5/10. Very full but it's alright in other aspects

Plus there is no content

What is it

I hate these

Chads melee them

Nigger just spam melee

Fuck off

Literally one-shot melee

I know they're not hard. I just hate them. They're annoying to deal with

I really like it. I just wish there was more gear. There are only like 9 armor sets and it doesn't feel like there are enough weapons

I'm hoping they have updates or DLC coming really soon

>boss is a big creep with endless adds
>and again
>and again
>procuderal generation
>melee deals third of the damage of ranged
yikes/10

The
>melee deals third of the damage of ranged
part is wrong, because you literally just upgrade melee and it's fine, especially if you get a boss melee weapons.
But you also missed
>new area
>same progression as before consisting of killing enemies on your way to the checkpoint, possibly finding a ring/necklace that might help your build, bunch of scrap/metal along the way
>repeat once more
>boss
>possibly unlock shortcut to previous checkpoint
>start from step one

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD
ITS DAAAAAAAAAAAARRRK SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOULS!!!

It's not though?

it's closer to Tom Clansy's division than it is to dark souls at this point

>projecting: the post
fuck off you effeminate $oyboy

Don't acknowledge the retard

It's not

I'm having fun. Just beat Singe and met the Keeper.
Core combat loop is satisfying and so far all the guns except the SMG I really like.
I had zero expectations for the story so I was impressed when I got down into Ward 13 and started poking around the terminals. It's like a classic SCP Foundation entry.
Pretty neat how I was able to get out of a fight with Bradus because I'd listened to Mud Tooth's stories and remembered the motivation behind giving the watch. Stuff like that's a nice touch.
So far my biggest complaint is that the levels are far too expansive and dull, and the movement speed is too low. The sewer levels are oddly more fun than the overworld since it's almost entirely combat and not mixed in with tedious walking/looting.

>except the SMG
>tfw have crits with the +mod power on crit trait
>spamming dem mods like a madman while quickly melting minor enemies with the SMG itself

>builds
nice fucking joke you got there

There isn't really a way to be a jack of all trades here since you need to invest so much into the weapons and traits you want to use, thus deciding your build

Maybe later in the game. iron is so easy to get you can get every weapon to +5 quite easily.

Of course the "proper" starting build is to buff the exp gain perk to max asap and then scrap.

More like Dim Souls.

It comes at about the same rate, but the problem is that you get far more weapons to choose from, so you have to decide what to invest in without farming.

Regardless of that, you'd still pick and choose weapon and mod combinations that just make sense, as there isn't just a better weapon, they all have very different playstyles, even going full melee is viable, though harder

Pretty on point, user. Game is great, lore is deep and interesting, art design is kino. Guns are satisfying to shoot and have nice feedback when they hit enemies. Solid game.

it felt really dry to me. similar to how Ashen felt. there just isn't a whole lot going on

>thread full of innocuous positive comments about Perfect World's latest trash shitfuck game
paid shill thread, nothing to see here, move along people

I stopped playing partway through the subway when I realized I was facing the exact same enemies from earlier, except they had twice as much health.

>Of course the "proper" starting build is to buff the exp gain perk to max asap and then scrap.
What's max rank? That's my highest trait; around 15 or so, I think?
I thought it seemed most prudent to try to get Elder Knowledge up first so I'd experience the passive gain for the rest of the game. Like a permanent Silver Serpent Ring.

Go back to your e-celebs and twitter drama user, meanwhile we'll keep having fun and enjoying video games

When you generate a level for the first time it takes your max average gear and scales it accordingly when generating the level. You're still in the same region, but since you upgraded, the enemies there will be harder to compensate.
Think of it like how the Undead Asylum has some of the same enemies with different stats depending on when you're there in DS1

Is area progression strictly linear? Like after you reach the Labyrinth do you have to do the desert area before the others?

You can only do the desert until you get a key to open the other two

Any way to mute only the player character?

>OH SHIT
>OH SHIT
>OH SHIT

Only on world 3 but so far I adore how they handled the different worlds.

>2nd world is a desert because they nuked their own planet to kill the root
>3rd world is a vibrant swamp that's teaming with life because The guardian is still alive and the root hasn't touched the place

Alright.... WHO'S NEXT?

Whew, that was rough.

Is it roguelite? Everything I read from here seems to point to that.

HE'S
DOWN

Not really, no. The only real roguelite/like element it has is that it has pre-made tilesets assembled together upon level generation, with a few key locations certain. Almost exactly like Warframe.
But your character remains consistent across all levels, death has no penalty, you don't find "big" loot in the randomly generated sections (just money, consumables, upgrade materials).
It's Dark Souls crossed with Warframe, with a bit of Dead Space/Gears of War gunplay.

>kill boss
>characters suddenly turns into a hillbilly

Attached: 1552602605019.jpg (390x398, 135K)

Really bad game. It's terribly generic and bloated with functions that go completely against its design. It's like the devs tried to turn Dark Souls into something for people who play The Division and other Ubisoft sandboxes.

If you want people to buy your game, you need to be more creative. The pattern of these threads is so rigid, you could use it floor tiles.

WOAH, IT'S OVER

>got the akari armor vault proc after n-th reset

>suddenly sand niggers with grenade launchers

>you don't find "big" loot in the randomly generated sections
Not like it matters but that's horribly incorrect, there are randomly generated events/items that grant equipment.
For example the magnum revolver and assault rifle weapons are randomly generated world items/events separate from boss loot and not everyone will find them.

Oh, that's good to know. I figured since all the weapons I'd found so far were in setpiece locations like the Sniper Rifle in the Church or the Hunter Pistol in the hideout that that's how all the gear worked.
Cool.

Attached: 1562007432775.png (1280x1351, 1.08M)

Boss adds are an absolute fucking aids and completely ruin the game.

Hunter pistol is also random, not everyone gets the key event.
Sniper rifle is one of the few static items, i think it's the only static world loot weapon.
Bosses you get are also random and since you craft weapons and mods from boss drops different people will have access to different things.

This must hate me, then. I've found a grand total of 1 gun (not including Singe's weapon) since I started. Currently in the desert area after Shade and Shatter.

It would be fine if they weren't spawning infinitely

So will they always be in something special like that sewer dungeon? Or can they spawn just in an alley like Iron or Bandages? How important is it to explore every nook and cranny of the overworld?

They are only fine if the boss is designed with adds in mind. Ent is an extremely well designed boss. You can see him spawning the exploding mobs from his own body and the spawn of rushes is signified by his scream. All his attacks damage his own adds which can be used to your advantage.

And then you have the garbage like Harrow. Yellow exploding faggots are tanky as shit and spawn nearly infinitely, coming from all directions and literally popping up from the walls. He shouldn't have the fucking adds to begin with, just make him move around faster.

In my first playthrough i didn't get the magnum, hunter pistol or the assault rifle so yeah.
Not like it's a problem since the starting guns are more than fine, the hunter rifle and basic shotgun are great and you can easily finish the game with them.

So this is how Darksiders 4 will looks like? I hope not.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 223K)

Things spawn in specific areas but they are not always there, the key+hunter pistol event for example is always in the sewers.
You can also get only half of an event, the talking corrupted tree can spawn while the Junk Town where you get the mask that allows you to speak to it may not spawn, in that case your only option of completing the event is killing the tree.

Amulets and rings are often scattered through the overworld and can be missed if you don't explore everything.

It's not that the starting guns are bad but it's fucking boring using the same gun from the beginning to the end without being given the option for alternatives because fuck you RNG.

You cant hate on the boys, get the seed caller mod and you'll know what true brotherhood feels like

+$0.50 has been added to your account

I can only hope it isn't. That would be even worse than 2. And judging by how unashamedly they reused assets from Darksiders 3, seems like they're not very enthusiastic about putting the work in.

It's unfortunate it seems to cause literally no aggro from enemies whatsoever.

Yeah? Thats what makes them so good, I have had them kill bosses while I was just running around killing adds and spawning seedy boys.

I use the target dummy mod and the seedy boys, it works great
