KH3 should have been delayed 3 months so it could ship with Critical mode. Game wasn't bad but it was impossible to lose on Proud and the fights would have been infinitely more memorable on Crit.

Anyway, Nomura definitely firetrucked up KH3 in more places than one, but I still like his style of game. It feels distinctly 'video-gamey' in an era where that's heavily discouraged. His games feel like they safely belong in the early to mid 2000's and I like that feel.

FFXV is one of those games that don't sit well with you the more you think about it. The "Epic" road trip is about the length of 30 minutes if you don't make constant stops, you only have about two sort of big but not really areas to explore that don't really have all that much in them, and most of the map was cut down to the point that you spent the second half of the game on literal rails.
Not to mention how disconnected you are from everything, you only see Noctis' "Love" maybe two or three times, and everything else like the occupation of Insomnia and the happenings of the Empire happen in the background.
Its not a bad game, but its not really great either. I feel like it had too many Prima donna directors to get the game going proper.

People can say what they want about Kingdom Hearts, but at least Tetsuya Nomura was allowed to just go autistic on a franchise for a handful of games.

The game flows in a way that it encourage you to use the ATB for abilities (to fill up stagger meter) and spells (for damage) instead of just mashing or holding square, hence why the ATB meter shoots like a motherfucker with each hit. It wants you to use them. You go in expecting it to be played like KH2, then I'd say that you WILL be dissapointed. Though to spice it up, I'd rather the stance change (triangle command) to be changed into heavy attacks.

FF Type1/Next was being made after Type0 came out but before they merged them with the Versus team to make XV team in mid 2012, so it was only in prepro for around 6-7 months before being put on hold, then in 2014 when type0HD was greenlit they decided to add a CG bonus ending scene that uses FF Type1/Next concept, but it was just a concept nothing was set yet, now that Tabata left unless other Luminous Productions devs want to make it it'll most likely be shelved forever

I played it on the psp, and as a psp game it was great, never played the HD Remaster, I just felt that everything was there for the game to be great, given it wasn't developed for the psp, given a higher budget and more time, something about different military classes fighting in wars tickled me pretty good and felt rather unique

Why are you lying? He's uninterested in anything happening around him. People talk to him, he just mumbles yeah sure, whatever, etc. And then does whatever quest they need. Even the NPC companions have more life than him.

They've always said it's a "hybrid" system. And IIRC in the latest Kitase interview, he said (through a translator) to give the combat a bit more "actiony feel". You may say that this "confirms" it to be an action game. But in my interpretation, they're simply looking at the old game combat, and tried to find a way to make it look like an action combat, while still retaining aspects of the old, but not too to go too deep into action. Hence why the action aspect in the remake, from what I've saw is very streamlined.
XII? I don't really like gambits and I've not really dived deep into it so I can't really say much about it and I haven't went and fight some side bosses. From my experience, I simply hate it because most of the time I let gambits to do the battles for me and the only input I'd have to use is the left joystick. I'd swap out some commands before fighting a hunt or a boss. But still a lot of the time, everything is automated. I know I could opt to not make the leader be auto'd, but why would I when I could just auto it. I can see how playing around with the gambits is fun to some, some hunts that I fought like the white chocobo requires bubble or some kind of a specific spell command setup to win that battle. I'm really against having gambits in the Remake for the reason that I hate having an automated system available. I tend to use that since I'm a lazy fuck. And from what I see, the combat in the remake, it seems that party members won't do abilities and spells automatically, thus in one way or the other the player has to command them from time to time and made you feel like you're actually controlling a party of allies. Something that FFs haven't really got after X (and to some extend, XII).
