Comfy physical game releases thread

What's the last game you bought? Are you enjoying it?
I just bought pic related on my way home from work, I'm about to start it now. Hope it's good.

>buying physical games in 2019
this is cringe

I honestly can't remember what the last physical game I bought was. Dark Souls 3 on Xbox One maybe? I went fully digital when I got my Switch, then later my gaymen PC.

>xbox one
yikes dude

I eventually sold it and got a PC. Still better than a soistation though

Can you change the text from japanese to english on the imported release? I want to add it to my collection but not knowing this is putting me off

>Tokyo RPG Factory
>good

My meager Switch collection, I love it. I buy digital for PC but physical for Switch and Snoy exclusives.

Last physical game I bought was the world ends with you on switch. Fucking amazing, glad I gave it a chance

Haven't bought anything in a while, but my girlfriend bought me Super Smash Bros. Special and a Switch

If you don't mind me asking what's the Japanese one? I ain't passing judgment or anything, I've imported a few games myself this past year

Okami

Well, I'm going to tell you now that you bought a Tokyo Factory RPG game which means it will be average, but nothing more.

So what if a game is average or just good? That's the problem with games now a days, everything has to be a huge epic masterpiece you can't just have simple enjoyable games anymore

Last game I bought physically was the TSA ce. The game was worth it, the ce not so much. The book included was pretty bad.

I'm waiting to pirate it.

Imported the ninja warriors and just purchased rogue legacy via limited run games.

Glad we superior physical niggas still on here. I truly believe in sleeping with time many people on his board will pretty much either go or digital if they have it or do all streaming for their games many on here dislike physical copies for some reason as if it's bad when in fact once physical copies of games go away that will give publishes 100% of profit without any compromise which is what you don't want you want them to fight for your money.

It's not imported, I bought it at the local bic camera here in Tokyo. The game itself has both English and Japanese and plays based on the language of your console so you're good. Although to be honest in the box there's literally nothing other than a square enix points coupon if you register it to your square account, and the cart (as is normal these days, sadly). Art is pretty at least.

So far the game is pretty good, I am playing it on Maniac difficulty and it reminds me a lot of souls-like combat where if you use the wrong combo at the wrong time you can easily get fucked hard. I just spent ~30 minutes trying to kill the first big boss and it was an interesting challenge especially after I thought I had figured out its attack pattern and then it entered phase 2 and literally raped me.

I have played both Setsuna (hated it) and Lost Sphear (fairly indifferent, not bad but not good either), this one so far seems to be much better than either of them.

>Bic Camera
My nigga, where you staying at? And why is 7/11 so good, I swear I gain weight everytime I'm in Japan

>All the game titles are centered except for the JP game, Undertale and Octopath.
This triggers me more than it should.

unironically wrong

Waiting to buy Astral Chain next week.

I live in the northern part of Tokyo, in Kita-ku. Moved here a few months ago. The 7/11 literally under my house has one of the best ななチキ I've ever tasted, it's so juicy and nice. However I'm trying to cut down on conbini junk food, I just got new kitchen stuff and I plan to actually start cooking real food... eventually.

That's all I needed to know, thanks user

I'm out in Chiba Prefecture, takes about 45 minutes by train to get to Tokyo but honestly I don't really care for Tokyo.
I rather hit up a BookOff at the countryside pick up a bunch of Super Famicom games and spend my time at a tiny hole in the wall bar eating 焼き鳥 and drinking.

Yeah I'm not much of a city guy myself, I found a nice very local/chill neighborhood, ~40 minutes commute to work, get to avoid rush hour thanks to flexible work hours, and it doesn't really feel like I'm in Tokyo. Yet, ~20 minutes and I'm in Akihabara if I want to buy weeb shit. It's pretty comfy.

Picked up Captain Toad, Dragon Quest Builders and DKC TF for £37.50 new a while back

Feels so good

Akihabara was way overpriced for me, loose cartridges cost the same as boxed games where I am. Good for rare stuff or Mega Drive games but if you just want Super Mario it's not worth it at all

>What's the last game you bought?
City skyline
>Are you enjoying it?
yes, but atm I'm playng other games

Yeah game-wise I don't particularly care for retro stuff but I agree, lots of overpriced touristy shit. I'm more into the random events and limited anime merch that comes around seasonally.

I stopped buying physical because i hate to clean and it fill space.

Yu gi oh Switch yesterday
The game is fine I just realized I just don’t care much for yu gi oh anymore

>have to wait 6 months to get the physical Yakuza remastered collection
Sometimes it sucks to be a physicalchad.

I'm playing my PS3 again and am playing Time and Eternity. Last game I bought was the Infamous Collection. I think I'm going to get Hybrid Heaven next.

Just got Wario Land Shake It, Return to Dreamland, Xenoblade Chronicles and Punch Out all first print NTSC.
Plus Parasite Eve 1 & 2, black label.

Same
I’m unironically buying 3 copies
1 imported collectors edition
1 per order I forgot I did 2-3 months ago
1 for my best friend Angelica my favorite poorfag college student in a wheelchair

I’m so gonna buy her Dragon Quest Builders 2 and 11S

Last one I got is Three Houses. It's nice but I'm still at the beginning because I'm also playing other games on other systems currently.
Gonna get Astral Chain, Daemon X Machina, Code Vein and Atelier Ryza next. And whenever the Vita port of Sharin no Kuni happens.
