Mangas are canon

The manga has different personalities for Reimu depending on who's perspective it's from. WaHH is from Kasen's perspective and she sees Reimu is a dumb retard because she's a Sage and probably over a thousand years old

1) Reimu floats above everything, including common sense, with her power. It's vague enough that she's more or less invincible until ZUN decides she's not allowed to win at something.

2) Hakureis uphold the barrier, no more Reimu = no more gensokyo.

A human villager becoming a Youkai is the greatest sin there is. Reimu believes that it would eventually lead to the destruction of gensokyo, and she's probably right, because if one human does it, it's only a matter of time until the next one. I don't quite understand Reimu's ability to 'float'. I'm gonna outright say I haven't completed any of the games but I have dicked around with a few of them. I've read the available manga out there as well but nothing quite goes into detail about what Reimu is capable of. The closest I can think of is SSiB where Reimu actually trains a bit. There was also that one scene in the first fairy manga where Reimu walks across a river by stepping on fish that swam by, but I think that's more related to her luck? The available entries on some wikis go into some detail describing her as even able to 'float away from reality' which explains her Fantasy Seal. From what I understand Reimu simply becomes intangible and untargettable which only has a timer due to danmaku rules. Is there anything else to this ability to float that I am missing or is becoming ethereal/intangible the pinnacle of floating.

Along the same vein, if Reimu were to float away from reality and completely not-exist do you think she would escape peoples' memories? Do you think she could float away from automatic abilities like GER?
