Xenosaga 3 pretty much shows you the utmost potential of PS2's graphical performance featuring characters with modeled eyelids and mouths (which wasn't often a given, as textured eyes and mouths were still the most common practice).

Now, for an example of a graphical step up, here's a PS3 JRPG that is very similar to Xenosaga with its fully voice added cutscenes
