Microsoft will do what makes the most financial sense in any given circumstance. They'll keep the big draws to their platforms (Halo, Gears, Forza, etc.) exclusive to those platforms, but for stuff like Minecraft and especially the Rare IP catalogue where the most diehard fans don't tend to buy into Xbox and prefer other platforms (Nintendo's in particular in the case of classic Rare fans), Microsoft would make a bigger profit releasing games from those particular IPs on said platforms than they would keeping them exclusive even if it means their competition makes some extra money from it.
