Marvel sold the rights to some of their characters when they were on the brink of bankruptcy. Now that Marvel is owned by (((Disney))), they are trying to monopolize the capeshit market .

Marvel sold off several of the movie rights to their characters before being bought out by Disney. They sold the Spider-Man movie rights to Sony, Sony approached Marvel and made a deal to feature Spidey in the MCU. Sony makes money off the movies while Disney gets the money from merchandising. Disney now wants a bigger slice of the pie and Sony told them to fuck off.

That sounds fucking retarded. What would happen if sony made a movie where spiderman wears a SS uniform and kills minorities? It would obviously hurt the characters reputation far beyond just movies, could marvel sue them because they affected the sales of comic books and merch?
