How can homosexuals be included in video games without being "forced"?

How can homosexuals be included in video games without being "forced"?

tip: you can't

Soldier 76 being gay is a million times less forced than you making this same fucking thread a million times

Interesting, why does it bother you user?

Make their sexual orientation not be their defining characteristic.

Simple, make any romanancable characters all be romanancable whether you play as a girl or boy.

Don't reveal it two years later or at all

You can start by hinting at it from the start, not just throwing it out there years later yo gain some relevancy.

this
the only time we need to know someone is gay is the exact same time we need to know someone is straight
which is basically never

Are these fucking bot threads or ERP? I always see this trash on the catalogue but dare not look in

You literally can't

If make his sexuality a defining aspect, people will say "this is annoying! Stop forcing it!

If you don't make his sexuality a defining aspect, people will say "well why didn't you just make him straight?"

The only forced representation is bisexual representation.

Earthbound

pic related (he's bisexual, but you get the idea)

he...?

>that dude who draws futaxfuta porn of them
Based

>he's bisexual
Yikes.

Yes,but it needs to not be their entire reason for being in the game and the whole of their personality. For obvious reasons, this is pretty rare nowadays.

yes, this girl is a man

>futaxfuta
So close to perfection.

I wasn't really a fan of how they went about it but it could be way worse. Earlier on when Ana was believed to be dead and when she was brought back into the game it seemed like there was some sexual tension or had feelings for her especially in some of his in-game dialogue with Pharah but that kinda went out the window later especially after Pharah's father was introduced in the comics. Then just out of nowhere they just had to throw in suddenly he's gay for this guy that had NEVER been even hinted at up until that point. It was basically never mentioned again but it did feel somewhat forced but I agree people are way overblowing it most of those are people who probably never even played the game or kept up on the comics just typical Yea Forums shitposting. I just didn't like how it just came out of nowhere and felt like they did a 180 on him and Ana ever being a thing as was hinted.

As I mentioned above his gay reveal felt forced but it's not by any means of defining characteristic. I haven't played Overwatch in well over a year but at the time I remember that they basically never mentioned it again and it's never mentioned anywhere in game that he is gay all of it was through the comics which were intended to provide more lore for the game due to Overwatch itself having almost no lore or character development within the game.

It's impossible. Unless you grind the story to a screeching halt to publicly announce that the protagonist is a faggot. With women and niggos, at least they don't normally affect the plot. One look at them, you know that they are representing a minority. Soldier 76, on the other hand, looks like a normal white guy. Sexuality is the last thing I think of.

Is it even necessary, since the LGBTQUDSUUESVIPBFFR make up such a small portion of the population?

make it a one off mention in a side mission or if there is a large enough event that they mention concern for the wellbeing of their buttbuddy

what's up with trannies and hating the bisexual master race?
do you need everyone to be male and female only with assorted genital combinations inbetween?

cuz das sexist man

What if they used to be your papa then mum dies so they marry a dude

I forget that soldier is gay 90% of the time I play overwatch.
Don't really see how it's forced.

what a worthless post.

then its not a girl its just simply a man.

A character can be gay without it being a plot poojt. A character can be gay without making their whole entire character revolve around being gay.

Thats the forcing of homosexuality everybody means to critiscize and rightfully so. Its pitiful story telling and characterization.

this
I'm more so upset they release the game and then a long time later, so it feels like"oh wait he and tracer are gay lol pls play our game again and play as gay characters"
True that Tracer and S:76 being gay has no impact on gameplay and they don't shove it in your face while playing, but I feel like it shouldn't be something to just reveal after the game's released.
Remember that Apex legends character who was gay? The islander? IMO that's the best way to handle it, you read his backstory, and while his "characteristic" involves him saving his BF, his personality is more of a teamplayer, not a guy lover.

>How do you communicate to the player, in a game not about sex, the kind of person that a character in the game wants to fuck, without it being "forced"?
The only way to win is to realize that the character's sexual orientation is irrelevant and no one cares.
>but muh representation
Most video game characters aren't even canonically straight. If SJWs assume heterosexuality in every character who doesn't blurt out "I'm gay" in the middle of unrelated story exposition, that's their problem.

trannies love (top) bisexual men the most, it's straight women and gay men who hate bisexual men

Make it part of the game or lore. If it has no impact (ie, overwatch) then the sexuality of the character shouldn't be mentioned. Not that it matters

A character's sexuality shouldn't come into play unless it's a plot point.

Don't forget bisexual women.

>what's up with trannies
>implying

>master race
Yeah, no. Bisexual people are full of mental issues.

>nobody cares about 76
>"he's been gay all along!"
>"woooah" cries the community
>everybody forgot about it in a week
>nobody cares about 76
So forced wow

It's just like regular society.
Nobody cared about the various faggot types until you all started making a big fucking deal about it. But you couldn't handle just being quietly tolerated, could you?
Just have it be a trait of the character without parading it out in a long "touching" scene where you act like it's a plot point, when in reality it's just an unimportant detail that no one really cares about except self-fetishizing faggots.
Here's an example. The show One Day at a Time was literally just left-wing propaganda disingenuously disguised as a sitcom. It was blatantly obvious to any casual observer that the show was a front for a political ideology, and not a genuine attempt at entertainment.
Apply that same principle here. Make them a genuine character and don't use their sexuality as a political prop to pretend they're more interesting than they actually are.

Have a narritive reason for it
Do something with it
Theirs no need for it in something like over watch where theirs no reason for character backstories

>But you couldn't handle just being quietly tolerated, could you?
Dude, liberalism is progressive, like cancer. Never stops.
>Cthulhu may swim slowly. But he only swims left. Isn’t that interesting?

from the top of my head

>female character has a taunt line against a male character regarding something about the two having sex
>male character responds with disinterest saying that he doesn't swing that way and even if he did, he would never choose her

>two gay ex's but it isn't straight up known to the player from the start. You only find out they are gay ex's because of rare lines of dialogue they have between each other. Something equivalent to the tf2 lore of Demoman banging Medic's wife.

>Player wants to have sex with NPC
>I can't user, I'm gay

>NPC does gay like actions and/or is flamboyant but never says or alludes to the fact he is gay

Wow why would people who are rejected from society and receive harassment from close minded people be depressed

Really hard to figure that one out for me, must be a them problem

>game is an rpg like Deus Ex: HR where you walk around a hub world and meet important characters in between missions
>you have to interrupt a date one of the plot characters is on with a member of the same sex because something is of dire consequence
>Bonus points if you could barely guess this character was a fag before that moment because they take their job with your organization very seriously like any sane fucking person would
Hire me Bungie.

No, it's either an integral part of their story and character and then /pol/niggers complain because "UGH, THEY'RE SHOVING THIS SHIT DOWN OUR THROAT" or it's an incidental, unimportant character trait that doesn't affect the plot and /pol/niggers will complain about "UGH IT'S POINTLESS PANDERING THAT WAS ARTIFICIALLY INSERTED TO APPEASE SJWs"

By making a gay vidya, that way it isn't forced it is the theme of the game

Bisexual people (and specially bi women) are the most accepted LGBT group and are also the most depressed. Crazy, isn't it?

>percentage of lgbt diagnosed with depression
>trans missing
was it excluded because it dwarfed the other bars?
