ITT: Unpopular Yea Forums opinions

Skyrim is a great game.

Evil Within 1 and 2 are better than every Resident Evil game except for 4, 7 and the remake of 2
Every Sonic game is shit
MMOs, MOBAs and fighting games are boring and tedious

Well there's a reason that's an unpopular opinion.
>
because it's fucking wrong
metal gear survive was quite fun

I think you spoiler like this

Did they update SE recently? SKSE isnt working anymore

That's only unpopular because everyone here knows in their heart of hearts that it actually is a really fun game. So much so that it makes Yea Forums mad that a game so unpolished could be so good.
Same thing with BotW.

Nearly a decade later and you are still concerned about people liking Skyrim.
That can't be healthy.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
STOP LIKING THINGS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE NOT GOOD
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

gaming sucks

In a decade or two, Kojima will make another MGS, and it will be divisive as fuck, as expected

2009 is the best in the series.

>return to castle wolfenstein
The only correct answer

>zoomer's first wolfenstein game is the best in the series
Makes sense.

No, it's the 2nd best after RTCW
I bought it on launch and really enjoyed it

Typed this up for the other Skyrim thread but it 404'd as I went to hit send. This isn't really the appropriate thread but fuck it, close enough.

I know this is bait but if it gives me an excuse to talk shit about Skyrim I'll bite.

Shit engine.
Shit animations.
Shit combat mechanics.
Shit dungeons.
Still only four fucking voice actors.
Despite that, moving even further into spoken-only dialog (entirely I think), making it even more painfully obvious.
Shit magic.
Shit magic.
SHIT magic.
Shit guild quests.
Shit bestiary.
Oh yeah, and shit magic.

It is great, it's just that acknowledging it goes against Yea Forums dogma that gameplay is all that matters in a game. Easier to convince yourself that Skyrim is just bad than to accept that it can be good even though the gameplay is bad.

Skyrim has good gameplay, though.

Fallout NV was overrated and extremely frustrating to play
Fallout 3 was better
VN's are my favorite games
I fucking hate Metal gear and all the games
90% of indie games are artsy bullshit with zero substance, even the gameplay heavy ones are usually shit
FF3 was fucking amazing and the only game in the series worth playing
Dark souls 2 was the best one
Dark souls 1 and 3 aren't fun, period.
Bloodborne isn't really all that fun or hard
95% of all JRPGS are shitty, low effort games that Yea Forums eats up because muh japanese
Skyrim was the best elder scrolls game by far.
Tekkan is the only good mainstream fighting game to both watch and play.

Street Fighter V is a nice game.

i agree with most of this
based taste user

Outside of your opinion on the Souls games, this is incredibly redpilled.

People always rail on skyrim for its shortcomings
But you never say HOW to fix skyrim. what specifically could we do to each of these systems to make them better

Il wait

Wait for my dick in your mouth. lol

well that's just wrong by any possible measure, the combat is atrocious for a 2011 game, ai is braindead, nothing reacts as it should, the character systems are broken, the movement is awkward and glitchy, pretty much every system by which the player actually interacts with the world is boring and underdeveloped
compare it to other rpgs that came out around the same time: dark souls, dragon's dogma, witcher 2, etc. the gameplay was already bad on release and holds up even worse today
it makes up for all of that by having a great world to explore with the freedom to do just about anything, pick up anything not nailed down, go anywhere and talk to anyone and usually find something unique to them, and just has a lot of stuff to do
there's few games out there that can match both Skyrim's scope and freedom, and most are just other beth games with even worse gameplay. even as clunky as it is to play, just being able to live in its well crafted world elevates it.

Thanks for proving my point.

so your point is that world design is gameplay? well damn I guess that means morrowind, oblivion, and fallout 3 have superb gameplay as well. bethesda is truly a talented bunch, I wish every game ran in skyrim's engine so they could have its amazing gameplay too.

>Morrowind
>Bad gameplay
Zoomie spotted.

Life is Strange is one of the best games of the decade, not the best, but one of the best.

yeah its fun to make a super nuke spell that kills everyone
for about 5 minutes
then you reload because there's no good reason to kill everyone and no reason to use that spell again

maybe I just have a different definition of gameplay than you guys, fair enough, morrowind has a lot of that same appeal I described for skyrim, but in terms of the actual game systems it's even clunkier to interact with. and as a result I would describe its gameplay as bad and skyrim's as an improvement but still bad
if creativity and customization are stronger "gameplay" elements to you than challenge and reactivity then we too fundamentally disagree to ever see eye to eye. I love skyrim but consider its gameplay to be its biggest flaw and really hope bethesda completely overhaults most of its old systems in tes vi. fallout 4 was somewhat promising in regards to the gunplay improvements over 3, although everything else suffered and made it a worse game overall imo. that's also easier to pull off from a design perspective than compelling melee and magic.

FF7 is incredibly overrated by journalists & normalfags.

Skyrim has some of the worst quest lines in the series

Fuck off Todd.

>But you never say HOW to fix skyrim. what specifically could we do to each of these systems to make them better
Fix the animations -- make them smoother, and more full-body. It's pretty obvious that they map animations for either hemisphere of the body separately. They need to go full mocap like every other 3PARPG worth a shit.
Fix combat by having damage calculation occur AFTER getting fucking hit, like any fucking not-retarded game should. If you've ever killed (or died to) anything by going straight into a kill cam before even doing anything, it's because the game calculated whether or not you could potentially do, or take, enough damage to kill, before considering armor and buffs/debuffs, before the attack is actually made, and decides to play the killcam based on that, rather than the actual damage you'd do or take. It's fucking retarded.
Get rid of killcams, by the way.
Fully implement Morrowind's spell effects, both for casting and enchanting. Problem solved. They got it right the first time and have only been slowly fucking it up ever since.
Give the game Oblivion's Daedra bestiary.

There's a good start.

Just set it to never update and only launch from skse
