i liked the part in xenoblade 2 where the big bad dematerialized a space robot laser, got his ass kicked in game, but then won the fight. But then the schizo sword lady controlling said giant space robot somehow made the beam now faster than light and threatened to kill herself, so the big bad kidnapped her and told the main character he's a piece of shit for not noticing that schizo sword lady was in pain despite the fact that the two of them are intrinsically linked specifically in a way that they're forced to feel the other's pain.
He then vamoosed into the aether.
