I heard this game is hard as fuck

The retard localizers thought it was too easy, so they tweaked the enemy stats without beta testing anything and ended up creating a nightmarish game where enemy stats increase exponentially throughout the game while yours barely change. This is particularly bad because there are boss battles in the game where the enemy's level scales to yours, so because of this glitch their stats will always be ridiculously high compared to yours.

Breath of Fire 3*
Fuck sake user get it right.

certainly not anything FF related (Tactics doesn't count, that one is good)

The best for me is Phantasy Star IV. It's pure soulful JRPG from start to finish.

I know, it was great.

Dragon Quest 3 SNES

that game is ass lol

The only JRPG that can truly be considered ludo.

undertale

Didn't everyone hate it?

Fuck, I remember buying this thinking I was in for some amazing rougelike/jrpg blend, I still feel robbed, absolute turd of a game. The box it came in was the only bit of quality about it.

One of the biggest brainlet filters of all time, I loved it once I learned how to play, theres even a cheese panel build that works for pretty much everyone.

Not sure. My personal favorites for old school is the mana series. Bought the physical collection of Mana. Modern JRPGs though, I gotta give it to persona 5. Very few turn based games stay fresh halfway through but this one managed to stay very fun really close to the end. Can't wait to get Royal and I hope we see P6 sometime before 2030.
