People have no clue what they are getting themselves into playing warrior. Leveling one to 60 is legitimately one of the most painful fucking MMO experiences ever. You do no damage until 40, everything is slow, you spend most of your time on your ass, you will never have enough gold for anything because you have to pay off your perpetually broken gear, you have to double up on gear while leveling since people will want you to tank and you are the bitch of literally everyone in PvP.
Although its a meme that 50% of people ditch warrior, it was true that vanilla guilds had a hard time finding enough good tanks and healers, DPS has never been in demand as much as those two.
Not that any of this matters because firstly raids suck and secondly everyone should play what they enjoy not what other people want from them. Its only fun to play warrior if you like struggling.

Alcor’s Sunrazor which is a world drop epic is your best tanking weapon until thunderfury, but literally finkle’s skinner is a better weapon than Quell’serrar for rage generation, which correlates to threat generation since you will no longer be rage-starved.
But that main image has a T2 tank rocking the Quell, which would never happen.
Druid. Because even an unspecced druid can throw on some tankier gear and tank anything including AV, but aside most raid bosses.
Some of my best gaming experiences were with people I met in WoW, and ended up branching into other games with. I can't tell you how many Friday and Saturday nights I spent playing Gears, Halo 3, MW, and other shit with following our guild raid schedule.
The only thing stopping them from being raid viable is a lack of itemization in T2+ content. They can do 5-mans pretty easily and hold MASSIVE threat.
It's more scary because I have neglected friends I made in school or at work with people I play games with. I spend most of my day in a call with these people on a 24hr cycle there are enough people in my discord having a conversation that it's fairly insane. I don't know if normies have that but I find it very alien to what is presented as a normal circle of friends.

You have to remember during vanilla instanced raiding wasn't the sole purpose of an MMO, we only had a handful of MMOs and all of them were very different.
Most of us logged in and just did whatever even at 60, it was a world to live in and explore with lots of mystery due to zero data mining, we use to go bonkers when someone would corner climb into crazy shit.
Racials aren't that impactful for pvp, nobodies going to care they you resisted a stun during a wpvp zerg. 95% of the playing audience aren't even going to have their racials hotkeyed.

All WoW raiding comes down to is having enough people to consistently come to raid while geared and this is still the case in modern WoW. People will be quitting between MC and Naxx so you will have to regear and hope all 40 people can consistently stay until you clear it. Classic will have them in their post-nerf state and the majority of people who even hit 60 will be experienced players who even if they didn't play Classic, they will use all the guides and addons that help. Melee dps is always overcrowded in raids. And it was my experience on private servers that if you offer to offtank in raids as a dps warrior they just make you tank forever after. So you have to lie and pretend you don't have a tanking set.
No one will pick me as a prot anyway, switching between holy and prot is a gold sink.
When i will decide to raid, i will probably just give up on being prot and will either drop game or create new character, last time when i got tired of no gear in raids i just dropped private servers

People want to romanticize a game they played over a decade ago. Naxx gets cleared in the first few days it gets released on private servers where things are overtuned on purpose. The original record for hitting 60 completely solo is 4 days 20 hours /played and it's been getting optimized by speedrunners for 10 years, including the guy who originally did it. Keyboard turning and playing at 20 fps was common even in top guilds. Things are going to be easier.
I am biased towards rogue because it's my favorite class. Priests are surprisingly easy to level and they are decent in wpvp (especially once you get shadow form). I don't know much about shamans. I'd recommend rogue or priest.

Ele shaman is really good in pvp and shadow priest is the best 1v1 class.
Nah, Naxx trash is on average much easier than any prior tier's, to the point that you can easily 5-man a good section of it to farm BoE epics, and a full pick up group can do everything besides maybe a few Death Knight wing packs.
Shaman is healing only in PvE, but is very fun to play as Elemental once you pick up some gear for it.
Priest is mostly healing in PvE, but every raid will have one Shadow to buff their warlocks. Chances are most guilds already have that slot filled though. Again, fun to PvP as Shadow once you pick up the gear from healing in PvE.
Rogue is usually overpopped so it's harder to get a raid slot and then get gear in a raid environment that is never light on rogues. They're pretty fun to gank with and are very useful in bgs once they come out.
Gonna listen to eurodance, drum and bass, and alternative metal like it's the mid-2000s.

There are folks that will probably farm w/ you just for gold (i.e. you get the ore and they take the other items). If you group up w/ rogues or druids you can easily farm the bar area.
Warlock is safer leveling, but mage is faster leveling. I will probably level warlock as a tailor/herbalist and have my mage be enchanter (so I can flash farm with aoe kiting am trash) and then de everything and sell it on the ah for fat stacks. Probably after those two, level a priest for heal slutting. Granted I might only get one to 60 now that I have a full fledge career, but really undecided between mage and warlock.

Warlock is both safer and faster leveling if there aren't a thousand layers per server. Mage is only faster with AoE grinding, and good luck doing that with 100+ people in the zone.

At first it's okay, MC is your progression raid. Then you're in BWL, but that's fine, you still run MC for pants and some good pierces.
But then the weeks and months pass, and your MC raid becomes alts only. And what was a 4-5hr clear sneaks back to a 6hr one.
And then you're in AQ40, but you're still running MC. By now you can barely get a group together to do it, you're running with 30 people, maybe even PuGGing some spots. And finally Naxx is open, and by now you have to basically guilt people into running MC for you. And they're probably ONLY doing it for you, they're just killing the binding bosses, not even going for Rag pants.
And week after week after month after month, you're still running MC. That terrible, ugly, boring dungeon filled with way, way too many trash mobs. Until you hate Blizzard, MC, and yourself.
If it manages to get to High by Friday or Saturday I might. I'll be a Stalagg boy if all else fails though.

Most ghost mushroom nodes in any single zone, all condensed to one hill and the cave underneath it. Uninterrupted I could farm a weeks worth of consumables in under an hour. Be sure to assert absolute dominance over opposing factions though, sharing is overrated, and the ghost walk is horrible for both sides. This usually gets them the leave after 2-3 deaths in a row.

Both are unstoppable grinding machines, though warlock has a lot more leeway regarding extra pulls, you can easily take down 4 mobs or more in a single combat instance.

lock is a great support class, summons will always be important, you also bring CC via succubus in dungeons and banish in raids.

Just be mindful that while you will have a great solo expirience leveling/farming and you are pretty good at pvp/support you'll DPS will start mattering in bwl and beyond once you start stacking spell hit and crit found on bwl/zg/AQ gear.
