/3DS/ Widescreen edition

What are you playing? what do you recomend?

I just got a new 2ds xl, I thought it was going to be hard to hack, but it was easier than when I hacked my O3ds. What exclusive games for the "new"'s should I play?

pic related. PKMN SoulSilver in widescreen, thanks to Twilight Menu.

i tried this shit and it makes the trainer look like a deformed creature.

How the fuck did you do that with TwlightMenu

How the fuck did you get real widescreen and not just stretched shit

It is a new feature, you have to dump some shit with godmode, but you only do it once and it works with all the compatible games.
It's not flawless tho, as you can see, the overworld looks good, but some stuff is not compatible or something and it looks stretched, like the trainer card.

So this shit is permanent or you can restore the original? I want to do this but apparently some 2d games aren't

The only good thing is that you can play GBA games on fullscreen

i don't think there's any game where i'd value widescreen enough to play stretched instead of native resolution with borders

I have Heartgold and every time I see a screencap of HGSS I feel that I probably should play it but fuck man, it's so boring.
Anyway playing Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City.

nothing is being stretched in his image numbnuts

What's stretched about the top screen? How does stretching an image magically make the actual draw distance further?

i mean the resolution retardo, not the rendered aspect ratio.

Trying to work up the effort to play Advance Wars.

Show the battle screen pussy. I bet it looks like stretched out shit.

is literally a setting in TwilightMenu you can turn on/off whenever you want.

in movement it does look upscaled or something, not as good as in 4:3.

Give me some minutes and I will, but it'll probably look stretched. I haven't played much.

I have a flashcard, can I use that shit with that?

I buyed the Flashcard before twilightmenu even existed anyway

Is the newest firmware hackable without external hardware?

Why on earth would you do that? Is pillar boxing really that big a deal to you?

I've been wondering this too. It's the reason I havn't gotten the new 2DS since I hacked my XL

I'm too lazy to post the photos, but indeed it looks stretched. I think everything that is fully 2D is not compatible.

Basically yes, you need to mine some shit and that would require a capable gpu, but there's a website where you can get someone else to do it for you.

How about a geforce 965?

I recommend just using the website. It takes about 3 minutes.

Could you give it then?

I tried setting up this widescreen thing but it won't work. The screen is stretched, but the codes don't activate.

>AA6 DLC doesn't load no matter what

TWL needs to be patched as well

>Most DS games still run like shit when loaded off the SD

Ffs just use a flashcard. SD will never be the same.

Not him but i'm curious too. I set up the Widescreen.cxi shit and tried pokemon black but the game just looks stretched. is there something else you need to do?

most games run fine now

i'm guessing you mean original aspect ratio, but the content is stretched

uhhh maybe check if luma is configured correctly

i mean i set it to 16:10 and it looks stretched. i already did the luma thing i saw in the guide.

The only other thing I can think of is that you're referring to menus or sprites

Only 3d shit will scale properly

actually, scratch that. it doesn't look "stretched" exactly, the sprites just look fucked up

okay yeah, there's no way around that unfortunately
