Only Turtles In Time (or Hyperstone Heist) is any good. Every other one is a quartermuncher with limited and boring movesets.

LotR: The Battle for Middle-Earth and its sequel

This version specifically was awesome!

Mostly nostalgia since I grew up on it but I still think it's a great mech game. Also has a baller soundtrack

They essentially packed Grand Theft Auto into a DS before Chinatown Wars even came out, had better gameplay than the console versions, actually focused on the robots where everyone got fleshed out, and gave you a self insert that never felt like he was too prominent in the story. The Deception version explored their philosophy and internal conflicts with a solid resolution to boot.

Is it wrong that I think 2 was better than 1 for being smoother? What went wrong story wise is not playing both civil war paths straight with a clear respective victory for either campaign.

Have an oldie. the SNES version is actually way better but prone to massive lag that makes it ew.

What did this game have? Great combat, really good levels, branching paths and replayability, nice story, Phantom himself is a badass.

What it did wrong: You couldn't fucking die and some bosses were underwhelming or annoying.

still 10/10. Would punch moon people and deliver one liners again.

After Legacy may as well be an eternal hiatus since everything got canned

I played THE FUCK out of this as a kid, holy shit. I never understood the story and I know I never got the "good" ending. But I totally never understood wtf was going on. I should totally check this out again.

The Atari Godzilla trilogy.
