Discuss how broken Saitama is gonna be
One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows
Reminder that thanks to this game there will be 3D models of Tatsumaki and Fubuki out there soon
yes
Why can't these games have a type of art style?
Because they are hastily made cheap trash.
So Saitama is functionally the match's timer, then? Do you have to wait for him to show up and end the match, or can I just hurt an opponent enough to win even if I'm playing a character that's canonically weak like Mumen Rider? If not, this game seems destined for turtling and laming out the fight until Saitama shows up, which sounds awful, but I figure I must be misunderstanding something about this given that you can fight other players, and you can't both be waiting for the same Saitama to show up and save them from the other person. Do both sides get a Saitama of their own, and if you make yours show up first by reducing the timer with perfect blocks and all that, then you win? Or am I completely off-based. Genuinely confused on how you win a match and whether success is purely about stalling or not.
I mean at least they took the time to give Saitama his own unique mechanic and let him be as busted as he's meant to be
They could've just as easily made him be a regular character
Making shit cel shaded to save time and money is something that's been done for fucking ages. Bamco started doing it with the DBZ Budokai games after the first one back in like 2003 so they could pump them out year after year with the same goddamn content and a couple of new characters.
>This game literally has the mechanic I kept being told would be too stupid to put in a game: Fighting off the villain until Saitama arrives
I guess I'm as retarded as a entire designing team.
>it's not an arena fighter
thank god
Interesting idea of having to fight bosses with (presumably) broken moves and having to hold out until Saitama gets in.
Remember when OPM was a webcomic making fun of shonen instead of becoming one?
Yea good times
There appears to be a Vs mode without Saitama present at all. Maybe the whole timer thing is only for a story mode or something
They're just rebalancing everyone to have the same strength without any explanation. Just think of it as Saitama holding back in the interest of fairness.
From what I understand, you can attack the opponent to decrease the time it takes for Saitama to reach the area. So its probably possible you can attack the guy who has Saitama on their team and increase the timer.
I guess if both players have Saitama its a matter of who can get him first, and if both timers run out, it plays like a regular fight.
Looks like story mode
>Objective: Survive the game
Thank you, everyone who replied. It makes a little more sense to me now. I wasn't even thinking of Saitama so much as a character so much as an Exodia on a timer that ends the round automatically in someone's favor, though I wasn't sure how that could really work in Vs. mode.
So then, if Saitama is indeed simply a selectable character, then alright, this could all be kind of interesting. I figured he was too broken to be traditionally playable, given how the video shows him accurately killing things in one hit instead of de-powering him and making him fight things while holding back, as one of you said. I figured that either he would have to hit someone like Genos dozens of times to K.O. him, or it would be as it is in the video and he one-shots everyone, but if it was the latter then I wasn't sure how it could really be fair. But, if the idea is that Saitama is an active detriment to your team in a way (as he's always later than everyone else), yet he's basically a guaranteed win if you can get him out before the enemy wins the match with their superior numbers, then this could be really cool.
I hope Mumen rider is a joke character.
I want him to be absolute bottom tier, everything he does just blatantly inferior to everyone else.
And then I'm going to never play anyone but him.
Yep
remember when the One Punch Man anime was so good that even Bill Burr praised it?
Yea good times
That's a lot of interesting questions that we will probably have to wait and see. I do have to say though it's pretty funny the devs at least made him broken.
>Discuss how broken Saitama is gonna be
How are you expected to play a game where you don't play as the character whom the show's/game's name is based off of?
I'm honestly gonna need someone to spoon feed me on why this game needs to exist beyond
You only think that because it has become popular with people who like generic shounens. The style and themes of the series haven't changed even if Murata does like drawing action porn.
It wasn't even that funny when it was a parody.
maining mosquito girl garou and tatsumaki
remember when hating on things just because they became popular was a thing?
OPM was never not popular.
I dont know much about OPM but isnt the whole point is that he is broken?
scamco games always have awesome trailers but the games are absolute dogshit. fuck scamco.
I don't think my dick will be ready
>SKIN CLINGING DRESS FUBUKI
Fucking damnit i never thought i loved thin dresses after i saw fubuki with that dress that outlines her bare body.
opm went from parody to deconstruction. sorry if you're such a pleb to notice it.
