Waiting for : it doesn't have darksouls combat so it sucks fags

Honestly forgot about it
And I have it. Something about it just makes me lose interest

It was a nice walking simulator, really enjoyed the story as Arthur and the mango simulator at the end.

A boring and pretty game.

was fun when doing fucked up outlaw shit like fighting the army with the Indians at the ambush, or driving through saint denis killing cops, I even thought the final mission to the 2 noble houses was pretty good

one huge problem with the game is Rockstar insistence on forcing a player to be in an exact location for something to trigger, or the endless slow walking while following npcs, where's the sense of urgency, a bit too much downtime with no action

10/10 horse riding simulator

I really liked the story. Arthur was well made. Gameplay overall was ok but gunplay was pretty shitty. Regression from gta 5 and max payne 3

>keep RDR2 installed to wait for online
>online comes out, there's fucking nothing to do
>patches come out regularly hyping up gameplay tweaks, features, and adjustments, but they never fix the horse shit aiming
>game drops the "Beta" title, still fucking nothing to do
>meanwhile GTA Online has a whole ass Twisted Metal mode and a fucking casino added
What a fucking disappointment, the only RDR2 related thing that hasn't disappointed me in 2019 is the soundtrack being added to Spotify

Good shit. If it ever comes to PC I'll replay it.

Great, loved it. One of the best gaming experiences this gen. Hope that potential story DLC for this fall is legit.

Fun game, lots to do. If you wanted to fuck off into the wilderness for a week, after the prologue you were able to.

The 8-10 hour prologue throws me off personally, along with the fact the story doesn't give you a Lancaster repeater until just before the end of chapter 2

dog shit

An amalgamation of everything awful about western game design.
>Forced walking
Check
>Arbitrarily restricting your tools
Check
>Ultra linear with very little player freedom
Check
>Unnecessarily detailed animations
Check
The list is endless

Liked the atmosphere but the gameplay was so simple and shallow you've seen it all after the first 10 minutes

Just go straight to the gunsmith in Rhodes when you have freedom from the prologue and investigate the side business. There's always a lancaster in the basement

Best game of the decade, absolute masterpiece.

What game hides its gameplay past 10 minutes user?

Genuis open world game, encompassing deliberate exprerience for genre fans thats unparalleled.

BOTW and RDR2 are the best open world games ever made, because they both peak the genre. BOTW by focusing on DIY and RDR2 by focusing on building a deliberate experience.

I wanted to life the cowboy life, the game gave me what I wanted so I was satisfied with it. Wish there were more bounties though.

It's not the shitty gunplay that kills the game, it's the linear, literally on rails missions. Mission failed. That's what kills it. The hunting and crafting was great for about 40 hours, but when it came time to finish the story I just couldn't give my time to it because it felt bloated and boring. More organic, freeform storytelling a la morrowind would have been Kino. Not to say there can't me cutscdnes and such, but god damn

Even Halo CE managed to do it somewhat well by using unique maps and trickling in distinct weapons/vehicles over the campaign. Nothing in RDR2 changes as you play. Same maps, same guns, same everything from start to finish.

You don't seem to understand that it's pretty much impossible to craft a great story if you can just do whatever the fuck you want. If you don't want an immersive storydriven experience, go play a sandbox game.

Yeah but there is one exploration theme that plays no matter where you are on the map. They save all the music for the story missions, and this is just shortsighted and unforgovable

Well then I have one actual suggestion, to remove the bounty system. I'm okay with flooding the roads with supernatural lawman who can identify you no matter how sneaky you've been, but don't put s fucking bounty on my head automatically. It just sucka
