With that said, the movie does state his entire force is in dire need of new recruits because he destroy half of his army... just to make a point.

I think the Frieza we see in the Broly movie is more what we'll see of him in the future: still a wholly evil dude who isn't nearly as much of a threat as he used to be, but nonetheless a thorn in the side of everyone on Earth. I imagine he'll be the cause of some conflicts in the future, whether on purpose or by accident, like how he schemed with using Paragus and Broly.

Don't worry, it's still clear he wants Goku and Vegeta dead, and at the end of the Broly movie he is out there, destroying a whole planet of innocent people. I think the current plant is to turn him in the actual Joker/Luthor of Dragon Ball.

This come from the fact that at end, he realize that no matter what, Goku and Vegeta are always a step ahead of him in the scale of power now, and he rather use Broly (and probably future villains) to deal with them for him.

The space Hitler thing is a fun analogy, but has never being the right one. He is more of a space Caesar, or any analogue to the Roman Empire.

Tournament of Power is actually pretty great. Unfortunately from where you dropped they milked it for a lot of episodes with prep stuff before even getting to the real tournament.

Vegeta actually achieves a higher saiyan form than Goku, Blue version of super saiyan 2 and on par with Goku's Blue with Kaioken. Only ultra instinct is stronger. Of course he still jobs it against Jiren, but keep in mind this battle royale is huge so he has plenty of strong moments beating everyone else up until that point. It is less pathetic than all the other arcs in series where there is one bad guy who beats everyone and Goku sweeps them all, not even goku bears Jiren on his own.

I haven't read it myself, I was honestly waiting for it to get animated, but I am not sure how long it will take. I can't say yet if it's GOOD, but it sound interesting.

The new villain (Moro) is based in magic instead of raw power, which makes a good way to justify the idea of him giving Goku and Vegeta a fight, even with the current power levels. Still, he IS gettin more powerful as the story goes.

They are also expanding in the patrol, which sounds interesting. What it worries me, is that it seems it's introducing a lot of characters, both in Moro's side, and in the Galactic Patrol side, which for me sounds like a lot of jobbers, with two exceptions, but still, it seems to have some interesting ideas going on, and for once, I really dig Moro's design as a new villain, based on arcane magic... He is also DB Galactus, his gimmick is devoring planets to get stronger.

They shook things up a little with Jiren, but going for the "super tough brick" route was a little lame. This guy's got AoE life steal going on and even his basic attacks involve manipulating a planet's energy to shoot flaming geysers from the ground. That's pretty rad.

In the Super Broly movie they confirmed that they had no idea what to do with his character so made him make a stupid comedy wish to get “A little taller” once he got the Dragon Balls. It’s also stupid that he is allowed to roam free and take over and destroy planets because he helped save the universe. It would have made more since to kill Freiza immediately after the tournament of powers wish was made due to fact Freiza clearly stated that he hated Sayians still and was still going to do the same evil shit as before.

Frieza is literally perfect in the Broly movie, on his own unique way, he is the only villain with true character development. His petty motive are perfect for him, being more to feed his own ego while still being a murderous monster over all. If anything, Super Broly and Super in general, made up for all the damage the Cell saga made to him. I would have been fine with king Cold being the jobber, but dragging Frieza into the mix was to much.

Taking Dragon Ball TO seriously is a mistake, and the more humor a character can get, the better for them. Frieza was destine to be a jobber as soon as the Top ended, we all knew that, but making him the "mind" behind future, more powerfull treats it's the perfect way around that.

The "Universe" is a lot less vast in Dragonball. Remember that there's a Kai for each Galaxy, and there's only like 5 (North/South/East/West and one in the middle). 5-6 planets with intelligent life per galaxy seems reasonable.

I could be remembering wrong but aren't all the "universes" still connected in space to each other? Like, when they traveled to other universes they just traveled for a long time. They didn't like, step through a portal to a parallel world. So in this sense, aren't the "universes" just really big pockets of populated space separated by really big pockets of empty space? It feels like they're using the terminology wrong.
