The bow was the workhorse weapon for me. It was basically a straight upgrade to the shotgun, and one-shot the most common enemy types. As long as I had more ammo for it than the shotgun, it was in my hands. Sometimes it feels like it makes the game too easy, it's not that hard to land headshots.

If you charge it to maximum, it shoots out like a continuous steam of bolts. I took off 75% of the sentry bot's HP on Maximum Fury. Boss fight was literally over in 15 seconds.

Hedon is good in different ways. It feels much more like an action adventure, and the combat encounters encourage a lot more aggression. I've found Ion Maiden to be a bit slower and more tactical in a sense just because combat can be so lethal and quick. They both scratch a different itch.

I'm pretty sure it does, the flying fuckers seem to need as many shotgun blasts as revolver rounds even at close range. Plus it has headshots so maybe the forward hunched stature of the jumping guys makes those easier to land.

Ion Fury is their first game in over a year, their two other games from 2018 have two and five reviews. Only other game is Bombshell and it's as mixed as Ion Fury.
