It's a port of a port since the original was on the 360 and PS3 a decade ago and the PS4/Xbone updates just added more cards like this one did.

It's not a boogeyman bro, I literally stopped going to my local Yugioh OTS because no one was interested in anything but super ebin meta decks, not to mention that half the people there acted like assholes in a world championship while playing, sapping away any fun I was having at any day I went there to play.
I always think about actually learning the meta but the incentive is not there, really.

Does anybody here play Highlander Yugioh? It's based of EDH/Commander from Magic where you can only have 1 of each card in your deck.

I was trying to build some decks for that like Zombies (using the Red Eyes Necro structure as a base) and Cyber Dragons (this one was pretty much impossible, even more so in 60 cards). What would you suggest? And would any of you know where to go find highlander decklists if that's even a thing?

I'm just trying to build interesting novelty decks since I'm just a casual dude.

Tagforce was my favorite line of Yugioh games. I was even tempted to start playing duel links. Only because that game has voiced characters, effort, and Jaden/Yubel. If they made a game where you grind for cards, a few animations, a little bit of a story, I’d buy it immediately.

Every series with 5 story modes each, pretty much every character, 3 levels of difficulty and the cards in the stores are real life packs. Pretty good despite not being as ambitious as the other games

Tag force 6 doesn't have a halfway readable english patch and I'll be damned if I can't read Aki's confession to me. At least there was a patch for the JP version of TF5 so I could see her cleavage.

I never played the portable games but as far as I know the PS2 title was kino. Never went too far in it though.
Forbidden Memories is only somewhat kino because Kazuki Takahashi sold his soul to the Summoned Skull. If not for Yugioh itself that, alongside Millenium Duels and Legacy of the Duelist would sell abysmally and be forgotten almost immediately after launch. Prove me wrong.

I think its because the PSP was getting outdated so they thought it would be better to make it for the 3DS. When they tried to make another Tag Force for the PSP in 2015 it was already too late

It’s incredibly clunky and has annoying gameplay. Duel Links was gacha trash, but at least the duel UI, graphics, and music were great. The main story mode is awful, since they give you the character’s accurate deck for the most part, but give your opponent an up to date tryhard deck instead of being accurate.

Why the fuck Konami make so great music, but handle meta so shit?

I remember feeling really sad playing the first DS game to just make the top screen entirely data and not a second view of the field.

I also like that they turned Jesus Fudo into a massive jobber in 2011.
I laughed when he lost to fucking Sherry's butler of all people and lost to Placido without scratching his life points.

That reminded me that none of the GBA/DS games ever did the entire story of the animes they were based on. GX never went past the first few story arcs before the series did a 180 and went dark and edgy and 2011 had a non-ending if I remember right.

Because it as the most Unga Bunga YGO game of all time where literally nothing matters except Summoning a monster with really high ATK. Backrow is rendered utterly fucking worthless unless its an Equip, and those are only relevant because those can all be dumped on a monster at once so that you're not royally fucked when you see an Ultimate Dragon, Gate Guardian, PUGM or MBD for the umpteenth fucking time.
The game's only saving grace is its God Tier OST.
