Math is required but a lot of it can be done through logical thinking and while innefficient you can do complex mathematic formulas in the most direct way possible(adding/subtracting or multiplying/dividing one step at a time). You just need to be able to think logically.
The only math you need to be genuinely good at for games is coordinate geometry, the rest can be cheesed to varying degrees and then improved as you get better at thinking. CG is one of my best math subjects. Can't do Trig or more complex formulas to save my life but I've been able to do plenty just by thinking about how things really work in the world of the game.

Most people can't think logically like that though. Like 90% of people would never be able to learn to program professionally.

I was fired too because some one went to HR and told them some bullshit.

i obviously fought it and they resorted to just giving me a misconduct write up, making me illegible to transfer and making the promotion I was about to receive null.
what shouldn't have come to a surprise was how much HR just didnt give two shits about what I said in my defense, I was for all intents and purpose, the Evil White Man.
