Clairvoyance EX has it's advantages. I'd prefer a year's gap over two but being able to plan your resources well in advance can save you an awful lot of money/hassle.

None lol. They gave out 90 quartz plus an upwards to another 210 if you did all the content available.
That's about 100 rolls on a shit gacha with no real pity system.

It's doublesided since people who run into a single case of shit luck need ages to stock up on quartz but sometimes you really want to just unload and throw shit at the gacha.
But sometimes, when I do have that surplus, I want to roll for shit I want.

Buster servants are borderline useless now due to a combination of powercreep and additional gameplay mechanics.

A 2 year gap no matter how you spin it is absolutely awful, a year gap would fill out the dead periods that start to hit the game in the next 2 years.

Not really, luck is luck. Having more time to prepare is always better as it lets you make an informed decision - just some players will choose not to use that time and prefer to spend as they go along.

Case in point, my top future priority on FGO is Maou Nobunaga - however, if I didn't know about her well in advance, I'd have probably spent most of my quartz on Kama/Arjuna Alter and feel pretty shitty right now.

The real trade off is the lack of true surprise and hype on NA but it's a fair price to pay especially if they keep releasing quality of life stuff early.
