The game was simply made to be broken. Take alchemy as a major skill, and just abuse the game like a toddler who brought home a D on his preschool entrance exams.

Find Keening and Sunder and use it to shatter the Heart of Lorkan that resides in that big ass volcano responsible for all the ash storms.
Or even just straight up kill Vivec in the capital of Morrowind, and complete the game with the ties of prophecy quite severed by taking the glove Vivec drops to that one dude in full Daedric so he can CHIM up a new prophecy for you without using a falsegod's prophecy.

I'll tell you a story about the nekkid mods.

I was a little wood elf zoomer who couldn't realize I accidently picked the manlet race on an OG Xbox while my dad was taking a vacation in vegas and my mom was doing other shit too. I had a week to play this game and I found some bandit caves and managed to kill them all somehow and found a bunch of naked Khajiits in cells back when Elder Scroll games had boobies hidden in the code. I jerked it to them and was able to join the lamplight guild without using a guide and I was freeing all the kitties from the pound and jerking it to the parts that looked human enough.

That game did things to me. Still does. And it seems the older the Elder Scrolls game the more shit they were able to get away with. Like fully modeled DOSBOX titties in Daggerfall, even on the PC turn 0 just by removing all armour.

I feel the same way user. I know it's an unpopular opinion to prefer Demon's over DS3 but I just can't get into DS3 at all. I have this unreasonable hate for DS3 and I don't know why, maybe it's the rolling spam? DS3 just feels so boring to me. I beat Pontiff Sulyvahn and set the controller down, I have no drive to continue playing. Maybe it gets better past Sylyvahn and I'm just a retard, I dunno.

I don't like DS3 either. Pic related is one of the reasons, but I also think that mechanically it's just not as interesting as the previous games.

Less stuff is broken, there's less weird builds that are fun to play, everything has been streamlined to the point where it all feels more or less the same, and the way enemies work has been tweaked to specifically punish stuff you did in previous games.

It all adds up to a game that feels a lot less interesting to go through.

Dawn of war. All of em except soulstorm. Same company made some world war 2 theme games I never really got into that are also highly recommended.

Ys MoC and 8 may be the better entries of the party-system Ys games, but Ys 7 had the most soul.

It really is. It's the type of game that, despite its flaws, really captures the joy to be had in that genre. There are a lot of little improvements that would make the experience better, but it has such a great approach to everything that it feels good to get invested in it. Definitely one of my favourites, and I learned to love it more after Dark Arisen released.
