Just a reminder to all US Canadian and Latin America bros

If any of your Switch games have this logo on the back of the case it’s not worth collecting and you should probably try to sell it to someone who doesn’t know the UAE Malaysia “World” versions of Nintendo games still exist for the Switch, they just hid the logo on the back.

Yes, that Xenoblade Wii copy you got is also worthless.

They sell Switch in Malaysia?

But why

Nintendo Switch games are region free. Also, just buy online bro.

Just like Gamecube “players choice” or playstation “greatest hits” it’s not a true NTSC first print and thus worthless.

Could you please elaborate for your non autistic readers here?

If by buy online you mean digital kek, if you mean Amazon then you’re fucked because sellers sell these UAE versions as if they were the NTSC, unless you buy used and it has a photo you don’t know what you’ll get.

Do they behead you if you use the alcohol in your bing bing yahoo in saudi arabia?

Also if you live in South East Asia or India, create an Australian account and pretend you are an Aussie in order to access Nintendo Online Australian Store. Do not create a game account for Japanese region unless you can read Japanese.

I’m american, retard, that’s the problem, subhuman nigger assians copy of games flooding the US market.

It’s been happening to 3DS games for years.

>yes your Xenoblade Wii copy too

fuck you i just checked my copy and it doesn't have that that shit on it

take ur meds and get some sleep user

you plan on selling your collection of outdated kids games? need those first edition copies? autism

Good job user you’re part of the cool kids club.

Now use the reversible cover art for extra cool kids club points.

Remember Wii games have the logo on the cover art tho, not the back.

If it plays the same, who gives a shit?

Might as well play games on PC (yikes!) and emulate if you’re such a soulless marxist at that point, freak.

If the game works like any other why do's this matter if you never plan on reselling? What makes you think anyone even cares about this shit? Switch games are mass produced endlessly and none of them are going to be some sort of holy grail super expensive game ever and or until you're almost dead or something. Even retro games aren't a good investment unless you have something that has a very small amount of limited copies.

i had it reversed already but regardless no pajeet label

>Yes, that Xenoblade Wii copy you got is also worthless.

I checked my copy and it's the original NA print but it doesn't matter anymore, after the re-release of the game on New 3DS and Wii U the game has devaluated considerably.

I bought my copy second hand for less around $45 bucks. Yeah still expensive for a 9 year old game but it lost 2/3 of it's original value.

That copy you got will easily be worth 300$ in 8 years.

I paid 100$ for mine in mint condition a few months ago, totally worth it, such a fun JRPG.

>3DS
240p and it looks awful
>Wii U
That’s a sequel.
US First print copy of Xenoblade Wii is still going up in price and it’ll never stop.

what a strange kind of autism you have, OP

Attached: gums.png (300x300, 70K)

Or you know you could be a not crazy person and just pirate and play it on a Wii or Wii u with a HDD or thumb drive. Dirty, dumb, collector scum.

>Buy Gravity Rush 2 on amazon
>They send me the PAL version

Looks like i’m never using Amazon to buy vidya ever again, a console not having region lock doesn’t mean you can sell whatever the fuck you want like it doesn’t mean anything.

You’re the embodiment of cultural marxism in vidya, congratulations.

Absolute cancer.

all good here senpai, and I have two more copies still in shrinkwrap in the back of my closet for eventual resale, bought from the same shipment of discs

Attached: 20190820_110147.jpg (4032x3024, 3.27M)

>That’s a sequel.
He's talking about the rerelease on the eshop.

Just because you can’t read user doesn’t mean it’s the stores fault

I get the exact same experience as you just completely free. I have no complaints. Anyone that willingly pays for overpriced older games that can be easily pirated is a retard.

The seller used a standard US release with the ESRB rating google picture and then sent a PAL version that wasn’t my fault.
Based and redpilled

What the hell are you blathering about, and why does it matter?

>cultural marxism
Not a real thing, take your meds

>Wii U
>That’s a sequel.
Dude they released it with gamepad support for the Wii U eShop years ago, first Europe and then for NA.
Also I checked prices back then and the game was cheaper, original NA copies and all Maybe the price got back to normal and I was lucky since the game is in really good condition.

To be honest I couldn't care less about its monetary value, I simple loved the game so much when I played it on a hacked Wii that I wanted an original copy, I couldn't care less if it's worth $100 or $10 bucks, it's favorite game of all time.

Outside of collectors editions there isn't a single Switch game that currently has any collectors value. You could say the same for all 8th gen consoles really

>after the re-release of the game on New 3DS

user did you check the value of the 3DS re-release? it didn't do that well in sales.

>Digital release
lmao who cares
Dilate, tranny, you’ll NEVER be a real woman no matter how many times your gender studies teacher says so.

Original Gravity Rush on PS4 might be the only exception I can think of

>I share a planet with obsessed retards like this
go outside, weirdbrain

Attached: autism.png (250x250, 43K)

Of course current gen games have no collectible value dude give it 10 years and we’ll see.

The best thing is that I wasn't even price-gouged. The copies cost me a flat $60 a pop and I happened to ask about whether or not my Gamestop had any copies when they had just gotten their one restock of discs in months or years. I got lucky with that considering I've never owned a Wii. I bought Xenoblade 1 while stocking up on Wii games for my Wii U and catching up on the previous Nintendo generation that I had missed. I also managed to get a physical copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii.

Virtually all current gen games are mass produced to such a degree that almost none of them will be any notable value.

but why

You are retarded. OP is just saying that physical copies are best because they actually have long term resale values to collectors when they are NTSC. He's telling you this version is worth less money and you can currently easily find real copies.

You're right but if you look at the past 10 years for some perspective there really isn't any 7th gen games that have value either. For example, SOTN sells for hundreds for an original boxed copy. Nothing in gen 7 comes close, I don't think anything in gen 8 will either.

>why are first editions and specific regions important to collectors??

Eh, let him misunderstand, you and I will make more money scalping if people like him don't understand how to do it.

Give it 2 or 3 years and the PS3 nostalgia will kick in.

yes, why?

It already has. Along with 360 nostalgia, you see people have nostalgia for halo 3 and shit on this very board. All those games had so many copies made though there is no shortage of them anywhere. Not to mention pirating.

It takes a while. I've found out that my copies of Godhand and Haunting Ground are ridiculously expensive now. Lmao they're very used though, but you never know. At least these days I can emulate on PC and connect it to my PVM.

>tfw just started my PS1 collection

Eating rice almost everyday isn’t that bad

Attached: 65D190C1-3506-4968-992C-3C7B2EA0DD13.jpg (1024x763, 101K)

Yeah stuff like 3D dot game heroes is going to be worth alot, especially since from software is getting big.

>now
Haunting grounds has been expensive for ages.

>I'm american retard
indeed

That doesn’t work if you have to delete stuff, nice try Mohammed.

It blew me away. I remember buying it at Toys-R-Us in the mid 2000s as a 12 yo. I was about to buy a different game that was apparently shit. Suprising how it's related to re4 in dvelopment.

Yeah, I really don't care. I've no intention of selling my games ever so this is meaningless to me.
Neat to know, I guess.

Is this a matter of perceived value on the part of collectors, or do the Asian copies have more disc errors and things like that?

t. Half his games are asian nigger copies.

lmao, cope

I buy copies because I like having a physical collection, I'm not an autistic retard that cares about a label on the back.

Reminder that emulation and piracy is the true fascist way to play video games.

As far as old games go, you're talking about bringing the power of state of the art hardware to bear just to replicate another computer. The Futurists would blow their load at the sheer power and frivolity of it. And as to new games, fuck giving Jews money.

6th gen is probably the last gen where specific cult titles and low print runs have genuine value because there is no digital.

Sounds like commie talk from a poorfag who can’t afford to pay 70$ for a copy of Xenogears.

Actually, none of them are. But that is meaningless when I don't plan on selling my games.
It's like the whole Greatest Hits shit on my ps1/ps2 games. I'm not selling them, so that minor detail means nothing to me.

Which is retarded because its stupid easy to pirate and or emulate that gen.

Well, fascism is a kind of socialism.
You aren't some reactionary trash who uses fascist slogans to sell capitalism and old ideas, right user?

Because it is. Why do you think so many slavniggers pirate?

I have a copy of the original Twilight Princess release for Gamecube. Is it worth any money?

around the full price you paid for it maybe. It's not like fire emblem or cubivore.

Definitely but nothing can stop the autism of a true collector

Do people really fucking care about this? you can't even verify if it's a first print in the first place but having meme labels doesn't confirm anything

You can still play the game.
Also OP didn't say at any point collectors shouldn't buy it, he said no one should.

Nah, unless you have some immaculate copy that's never been opened like this one, then it's pretty much worth $60 still.

ebay.com/p/Legend-of-Zelda-Twilight-Princess-GameCube-2006/47648215?iid=401751512875&chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=401751512875&targetid=541454106452&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9011861&poi=&campaignid=1881505361&mkgroupid=70176756156&rlsatarget=pla-541454106452&abcId=1139336&merchantid=6296724&gclid=CjwKCAjwtO7qBRBQEiwAl5WC2zOghAzN0t38s3E74ZnmWCMxoLWO6ftm8ij-iGxYu2F-ludVkSxBHhoCZCYQAvD_BwE

>got a CIB copy of Xenogears from facebook marketplace for less than a tenner

Attached: 1253209584578.jpg (320x231, 17K)

Of course no one should buy it retard. it's worth less money now and long term. If you aren't a collector you can sell it to one down the line to profit or break even. Go ahead and buy a less desirable product that won't hold its value.

As long as it’s not a weird non NTSC release and it isn’t a “greatest hits” version it’s considered first print i think.

I know it probably sounds autistic (because it is), but some people really hate shit like the red border Nintendo Selects versions of boxes and all that, partially because they clash with other boxes in their collection that don't have that general design and layout.

Keep in mind that a lot of collectors have legitimate OCD and will pay a premium to finish their collection in the perfect way that they've arbitrarily decided is 'correct'.

why won't it hold it's value?

because collectors don't like to collect non-NTSC versions and versions that aren't first print.

>The disk hole is in place of the Monado's glass layer
Forgot about that, I wish more companies were creative with this sorta stuff

Attached: IjuZ3iW.jpg (2448x3264, 1.84M)

Why? What's the problem with non-NTSC versions?

my copy of Jak X says hi
where I can save the fucking game and keep playing

Gamestop probably refused OP's trade in after the UPC didn't scan then noticed the region.

All the Nintendo first party stuff this generation has been the same cartridges with different stickers slapped on the label (though I think Splatoon was an exception.)

Nobody buys games for the sole intent to let the value appreciate. Nobody bought Conker's BFD because it would skyrocket in value 10 years down the line. They bought it because they wanted to play the game. Nobody does that, you don't go to gamestop and think "Hmm but will this keep its value?" because 99+% of the time even if it is a "first print", it won't. Sorry, your collection means nothing to literally everyone else unless it's actually a rare game like Conker.

What does CIB mean?

They aren't NTSC. People want all their games to be from the same region, which is usually the one they are from. Collectors like to complete things, they want a full X console collection and a full NTSC collection etc.

So it's collectors from an NTSC region, not collectors in general. That makes more sense.

My deal is that if a game doesnt get a physical release, I pirate. Simple as. They're the ones losing my money.

If you can buy something that will sell for more in the future why pay the same money for something that will sell for less in the future?

complete in box

usually means "Manual + game case + game"

Oh boy digital shills will seethe after reading that
Looking forward to the Wii U eshop shutting down soon and people realizing they didn’t actually buy anything, they just rented it.

So you can enjoy the product, retard. Why buy food? It all just turns to shit anyways

From what I understand, the UAE prints are actually high quality counterfeits. It shouldn't really matter if you just want to play the game, but they're worthless from a collector's standpoint.

>Nobody buys games for the sole intent to let the value appreciate
some people do if they know the game will be worth money. Regardless the sole intent doesn't matter, you have no reason not to buy a product that is going to hold it's value better.

People don't just buy the expensive rare games retard. Collectors try to collect everything. First party nintendo shit will be worth near it's full retail price once the nostalgia bug kicks in as it always done, and proper copies of decent games will be going for 20-30-40 etc dollars instead of 3$ because you bought some shitty world edition. The commons of 1st edition USA blueeyes white dragon cards are worth more than the foils of the reprints. Same cards, but collectors don't value them so why the fuck would you buy products that won't retain value when the ones that will retain it better are still easy to find?

You're a fucking retard.
>if a game isn't worth 400$ it's worthless who cares if I have a collection of 50 games down the road that are all going for 2$ when they could all be going for 25$ if I bought the right version!! only the big outliers count!

If you have the option why buy the less valuable one? It’s not that hard to understand you fuckface.

You can still enjoy NTSC versions you fucking retard. You don't need to keep it sealed.

They are not counterfeits they are official products licensed by Nintendo, it’s just that those companies clearly over print to sell on the west too plus Nintendo just doesn’t print enough NTSC copies and they don’t care about Saudi Arabia games being sold on the US.

At this point it’s almost impossible to order an old 3DS game brand new and not get the UAE version, in fact most used copies are UAE too, look for actual photos published by the seller before buying.

>Nobody buys games for the sole intent to let the value appreciate.
Yes I do. Yes I absolutely do if I have a gut feeling that it will be a rare product that was undervalued/ undersold in its own time.

I have five PSTV's still in boxes, appreciating as we speak. Learning how to predict a market leads to money-making opportunities, and if a store doesn't stop you from buying multiples of a product on launch, then yeah, I might buy some duplicates to resell 5-10ish years later.

Attached: 61EQbY4bh9L._AC_SL1500_.jpg (1232x666, 66K)

Wait, but don't NTSC copies have also French written somewhere?
Shouldn't that be your clue?

How does a thing drop from 60(i think?) to 15 and then back up to 100+ i’ll never know.

Every time I think Nintendies can't become more embarrassing they surprise me.

Why bother with that, Wii and 3DS games have the logo on the cover.

We’re fucked for Switch games since nobody uploads pics of the back of the cases, only way to get NTSC online is pre-order or buy it at release, once the initial stock sells out you enter the UAE lottery.

>I missed multiple chances to buy this at 30 bucks
>By the time I make up my mind, they are discontinued

being at South America, I think they have 3 markets in the continent

Copies only in english (USA)
Copies with English and French (Canada)
Copies with English, Spanish and French (South America)

All my Mario Switch Games are South American copies (with 3 languages) but I have a Copy of Just Dance that's a canadian copy (Resellers here doesn't give a fuck and import the cheapest option)

Then why not just go to a store? I mean, you're already back from work/school, why not just enter a store and take a look? In Mexico they allow you to grab the games and even test them before buying. You can pick whatever box you like if that's the problem

That what I'm talking about. When I lived in Venezuela I bought 3DS and Wii U games that had Spanish, French and English

You aren't missing much. Vita has no games and playing ps1 games on anything but a crt sounds dreadful.

Yeah, but a hacked PSTV is like a dream come true, just like a hacked Wii U

I’m from Argentina and i have a friend who lives on the US who travels back and forth every 3 months so i send stuff to his house and it’s much cheaper than buying games from a store here, brand new games are 100$ thanks to taxes and shit.

But yes USfags should absolutely go to a store if they want to be sure they get NTSC, unless they get it on release day on amazon.

It can just play vita and ps1 games can it not? There are better ways of playing ps1 games and vita has dick all.

My Wii U is in 10/10 condition and i’m afraid of hacking it, it’s bound to lower it’s value.

I’m unironically using the VC for GBA games.

>My Wii U is in 10/10 condition and i’m afraid of hacking it, it’s bound to lower it’s value.
/hbg/ has a guide for Wii U, you only need to buy a DS game from the eShop.
Also, if the store gets discontinued, just like the Wii's, your hacked Wii U will be worth more than you think, because the only way to hack your Wii U without relying on an Internet connection or self-hosting, is through Haxchi, and even then, if you want to sell it later, you can just factory reset it before selling it. No one would know it was hacked.

I'm not sure, but I'm looking forward to making a fortune off them when the time comes, partially because I also imported five of these to sell with them, and these will be rare as fuck in a few years. Sure, they have failure rate problems, but the people I'm selling them to might not know that since the memory cards will be obscure by then, let alone the info about their failure rates.

Attached: 65eab53b-588c-4b90-a834-da4192641415_1.e7f8555fe2b0d59342fb1c6972cef2df.jpg (450x450, 32K)

So i can hack my Wii U with that DS thingy, download every single Nintendo game except 3DS and then factory reset it if i ever want to sell it or if it makes it less valuable? Neat.

It can play all sorts of stuff on it, user. I like using one of my spare PSTV's as a hacked emulation box that I bring with me on trips where I'll be staying at hotels and stuff, since it's so easy to fit the PSTV and a controller into a duffel bag, and the PSTV is sturdier than most homebrew raspberry pi shells that one would use to make one into an emulation micro-console.

Attached: psvita-hacks.jpg (600x450, 55K)

I think you’re severely underestimating just how retarded the game collector market is.

This. OCD and legitimate autism run rampant in that community, and they care a lot more than you might think about really trivial shit like region and box trim.

They released the product in 2014 (using parts from the recently discontinued 1000 model and clearing a warehouse of DS3 units)

After a year of not selling the major retailers had them at $20 by Christmas 2015

Sony discontinued all western Vita products early 2016. (Publishing was left open)

Late 2016 a piracy exploit was found and every new Vita/PSTV left in stock was already on the magic firmware.

2018 an exploit was revealed that worked with the units that missed the 2016 exploit. Now everyone knows they have a hackable unit.

>first edition autism is coming to games now
GREAT
WHO DOESNT LOVE UNPATCHED V1.0 RELEASES

Hey, it's their curse if they care enough to where it matters to them, right? You and I can live our lives like sane people, and if anything we can take advantage of the retard who only wants V1.0 and sell it to him at a premium for his weird, arbitrary choosiness.

The game collector market doesn't give a shit about modern games you retard. They all want old shit from 5th gen and earlier consoles. The only newer games that hold or increase in value are ones that are actually rare and had limited releases. If you're buying this shit as a speculative investment then you're a huge fucking idiot.

fuck
my main idea to get a Vita was to play Ps1 games

>collectorfag
Fuck off.

>being a "collector" of corporate mass produced crap
>thinking that crap has value when the only value there is is in the data itself, not the 0.05$ worth of plastic
I can't even describe how pathetic you look OP, download a rompack and be done with it, Noone cares about your shitty plastic disc.

Dilate, tranny.

Check your blood sugar diabetic

know someone who wont open their copy of Yakuza 0 they bought online because he got a greatest hits version instead of the original print, and i don't blame him. i wouldn't want the greatest hits edition either. why does it even exist? the game had just came out, and it seemed like they did 1 pressing of the original that sold out, and now it's a greatest hits? reprint the original cases...

even if it is bit-for-bit the exact same data on the disc, it just doesn't sit right with me.

Any limited run games shit is usually more expensive than when it released.

Just check out that ps4 poop game.

SOTN is 80 tops
Unless your talking about the absurdly priced PAL copies........where its almost 200

that's because of the cover, right?

I was on about the PAL version not the shitty green label NTSC version with the inferior atwork. Still an example of a game that actually has collectors value unlike mass printed titles of today

Nice try
Anyone into Vita will have theirs hacked and your investment will be worthless.

Faggot

I just sold a gamecube gameboy player disc for 80 bucks i picked up for 25 cents.

Fuck you, im making cash money bitch and you arent.

just print a new boxart you fucking retarded bitch

What?
If anyone talks about SOTN or any ps1 game, its black label only faggot.

Ive been selling games for 26 years, the fuck you know child?

I don't understand your point. You responded to a picture of a proprietary memory card that is already hard to find today, let alone five or more years from now. They can have all the hacked games they want, user, but they need to upload the rom to something, AKA a memory card. And either way, as I said, I'll be selling them bundled with PSTV's, so the person buying probably doesn't have a Vita or PSTV if they're buying one from me for a crazy premium.

>Yes, that Xenoblade Wii copy you got is also worthless.
It's a limited edition released only in PAL regions though.

>Buy game at release
>Buy it again when the Greatest Hit version comes out
>Switch the discs between the boxes
>Sell the Greatest Hit disc that's in the original print box

Attached: devilish.gif (425x481, 1.51M)

They fucking have an adapter that lets you use any sd memory card, idiot.

YOUR SHIT IS USELESS!

Again, no one gives two shits about PAL region. Collectors do NTSC or fuck you!

Its why your Stadium Events is worthless and NTSC is super expensive. Faggot =)

Collectors care about NTSC on systems which have a 50/60 hz split. The Wii doesn't.

There are people right now selling the green label version for the same price or more as the black label on Ebay.com, look for yourself

You have not been paying attention to this thread, have you? Collector autists care a lot about things like having everything be brand name and 'correct'. It's so easy to find buyers for this kind of thing once the product is over ten years old, especially since I keep my stuff stored well. But hey, you keep insisting what you're insisting, user, I get my sale either way several years from now. I don't think you understand how easy it is to post the auction listing and get idiots competing on overpriced crap. There are people with a lot of disposable income and a lot of weird needs to make sure that every little thing in their collection has the right box that they want and all that, let alone going off-brand on main accessories like memory cards. But, hey, no skin off my nose either way, making money with this shit is so easy it's laughable, you just need patience, closet space, time, and decent predictive abilities. I also have two of pic related still boxed. I had a third but a friend wanted it so I was decent and sold it to him for retail price, just to get the money back that I laid out and nothing more.

Attached: rdqfwd.jpg (450x450, 38K)

>Not a real thing.
Why can't you just be open with your desire to destroy the world to prove some debunked Victorian third-rate Hegelian correct?

>not taking advantage of said obsessed retards who will pay who knows how much for copies of games that don't come from U.A.E, Saudi Arabia or Malaysia
Jews are the natural predators of autists

>>Its why your Stadium Events is worthless and NTSC is super expensive.
The reason the NA version of Stadium Events is expensive is because it's rare you retard. If it hadn't been rebranded as World Class Track Meet it wouldn't be worth shit.
There are some games where the PAL version is worth more than the NA version, like Snowboard Challenge which is much more expensive than the NA version Heavy Shreddin'.
It has nothing to do with region and everything to do with rarity.

How can you even type that without wanting to kill yourself? I know it's bait but id have to hang myself after

no shit, the japanese speak japanese of course their fucking store is in japanese

Why the fuck is cubivore so expensive. I've started importing titles that didn't come out here, and Jesus. I'm never going to get it at that price.

>tfw have a sealed indigo og GBA and a sealed cobalt blue DS Lite
>tfw might actually have to sell them both to buy a new pair of glasses because I can't fucking see
Feels bad, man.

I have an original copy of Valkyrie Profile I bought at launch. One day the ribbon cable for my ps2 laser came loose (because Sony has shitty manufacturers) and it etched a ring around disc 2. You know what doesn't have that issue? Digital files you pirate for free that last forever. Collecting volatile shit is a disaster waiting to happen. It's like storing your life savings in a wooden box in front of your BBQ grill.

Please don't ever purchase physical media with the intent to collect. If you can flip it quickly, do it. Anything that needs to be shelved and sat on is a gamble. If you're gonna gamble, just invest in stocks.
