The problem with CDPR is that they want to keep doing things their way, sort of the Rockstar model. Mechanics, romance, secondary quests and many more aspects of the open world are directly done the same way they did with Witcher. Reluctant to change their way of working, implementing a clunky and bulky atmosphere in evanescent slick and dark cyberpunk way isn't a way to go neither. I know they talk about verticality but that is only appreciable when your alley isn't fucking 40 feet wide because it then feels proportional. I don't know, I still wanna see more about this game, I was very hyped when they announced it a decade ago, expecting sort of the new Deus Ex, I fucking graduated uni and started working since the game was announced, and it's still unreleased

The last two. It’s not so desperate it’s system shock. There’s a level of decadence so it’s closer to deus ex. Than pseudo rpg fallout.

They should have made it a linear game, the open world is probably gonna be empty and lifeless like 90% of open world gaymes. Looks shit in the videos

It's looking like a good game at the moment, but really we wpnt know until its out. He's right. Witcher 3 is carried by good tech and story covering for some dogshit mechanics

I've nothing against Cyberpunk, but given how many times I've seen hype bubbles burst like a cyst I can't get on board with it. I hope it is good, of course, but I have no expectation that it will be. Ever since Total War: Rome 2 came out I've been able and willing to completely disregard the build-up around a game's release. It baffles me more people don't do this.

I'm excited for it. Might even buy a new alienware laptop to play it.

just saw the gameplay trailer they got, and there's no way the real game will have that amount of people/that draw distance on the game

I'm excited for it, but im not comment on how good it is or anything because I haven't been able to try it and I think that there no point reviewing something you haven't actually put any time in.

Not the most appropiate way to express myself. I meant to say that everything feels excessively big. Extremely wide alleys, most of the characters have Jackie's complexion, verticality is affected by this, I feel like the panorama is sort of stretched and it somehow feels weird, and it's especially noticeable when V walks to the ripperdoc. Everything is squared, Neuromancer-type fiction, a style drinking from the clunky 80s with no soft lines whatsoever

Those basic mechanics are there. Mods like Enhanced Edition bring it out better. The mechanics are unfortunately hidden due to consoles

I remember the developers on Deus Ex HR trying to do a similar thing with the pilot chick where she would throw out an arabic word or two every so often but they scrapped that idea because it just sounded retarded. Here it just sort of comes off as slavs not knowing how mexicans actually talk, so they use corny hollywood flicks as reference or something.
