You've missed some event servants who're never coming back (the only notable one is Kintoki Rider, who is excellent), but you're not 'competing' with anyone. It's solely a single player game. The main story can be completed with little trouble without needing to roll the gacha at all, you only need meta comps for challenge quests during events.
Farming event that has unlimited rewards, only held back by your sanity, and is the only event that rewards skill gems which are a pain in the ass to get otherwise. You can get massive amounts of QP too, along with embers to level your servants (protip: leave them in the present box, you can store thousands of embers and immediately level any new servant straight to 90 on demand). It also has the toughest challenge quests in the game each year, for example this upcoming one has a fight against 100 Hassans with the boss being an absurdly buffed King Hassan. They're the highest difficulty content in the game.

It's mostly shit but there's some genuinely good stuff buried in there. I can't speak to JP content but in terms of what we've had in NA, I can list off the good content right now; chapters 6, 7 and 8 of the main story, three crossover events (KnK, Zero and Extra CCC), and a handful of the minor events (Dantes' Prison Tower, the first half of Summer 1, Christmas 2). Everything else has been a mess of flanderized characters, filler fights (especially the early chapters, where you'll frequently be interrupted mid-conversation three or four times just so Aniplex can make you spend more AP to read the rest), comedy that falls flat, and nonsensical writing. You have to wade through a lot of bad to get to the good and honestly I'm not sure it's worth it.

Heracles has a numerous amount of real weapons, he wielded every weapon there was to wield in his day. Various swords and spears, a hammer, a shield, gauntlets, a dagger, an absolutely massive olive-wood club (which is more like a whole olive tree that's been refined into a club shape), dude could probably wield his chariot with as much proficiency as anything else he holds. Herc fits in every class except Caster.
The weapon he's most comfortable with and what he wields as Archer is his hydra-killing bow, though.

No one wants to admit, but FGO is the most balanced mobile game out of all the gachas. It knows that it is a mobile game, so the gameplay isn't too complicated like action rpgs or too tedious like Azur Lane.
The story is good for a mobile game, where most have non-existing story at all.
And while everyone rags on the gacha rates, it is still the most fair compared to the other gacha, where games like Gundam Wars, you have to roll the same MS 11 times just to max its level. And since it has no PVP, there is no powercreep where characters get sidelined by newer characters so you have to keep rolling the gacha and keep whaling to keep up.
If anything, my biggest complaint in FGO is the same complaint I have over other gachas, the price of the currency to roll the gacha is too high. I can afford it, but I will not pay 60 USD just for 6-10 gacha rolls.

The answer is maybe. Until recently events would have one rerun and then be gone forever, but now they've added the Dantes event to the Rare Prism shop to be played whenever you want. Maybe it's because it has main story relevance, or maybe it's because functionally it's a similar event to a trial quest (which were already available for Rare Prisms), or whatever, but the point is the groundwork has been laid for events to be replayed at any point. We'll see how far they take it. Events like SE.RA.PH. are absolutely necessary and now they may be replayable after all.

The banner rate up only increases your chance to get the rate up servants, but doesn't exclude other servants. You still have a chance to be spook by a different 5* like Seibah even if its Jack's rate up day.
On the contrary, the class limited summoning locks all of the summoning pool to only assasins and Jeanne. So, if you get a 5* servant, you either have Jack or Jeanne since they are the only two 5* servants in that summoning pool.
