Kingdom Come but set in Iberia during the reconquista. Several time frames and conflicts to pick even other than fighting the taifas. Also religious orders plus the immigration coming from northern europe.

Look at the games that people tend to like here. Lobotomy Corp is pretty popular and that's mostly just a cutesy management game with a take on SCP's setting.

I guess my advice would be to take a concept that people already like and put a cool spin on it
