just finished Kirby mass attack game is great but a touch long. Music is amazing.

Working on Dragonquest VIII right now.

The game has been consistent thus far, so I feel I can give a substantive review.

The game is extremely comfy and encourages going at your own pace. Difficulty isn't too high and the writing is very fun. The music isn't the greatest in the genre, but it grows on me each day to the point that it becomes something I look forward to hearing in each area. Lastly, Toriyama art is never a bad call.

Overall, I recommend this game.

Half life 2. It was only okay. I can see how unbelievably revolutionary the game must have been when it came out 15 years ago tho. It still holds up just fine, and I can also see how so much of that game inspired games to come after it

Finished the Black Eagle route of Fire Emblem 3 houses. Running around the monastery was pretty shitty overall, it basically felt like something that could have been handled through menus. And the fishing minigame was neat at first but having to play it for over an hour to grind professor experience was not only incredibly boring, but a complete waste of time because the extra activity points aren't needed at all and the ability to craft the best weapons is excessive with all of the free relics and general ease of the game. Speaking of which, the game was just too easy even on hard classic. The very beginning when every unit is level 1 and the first chapter after the timeskip when suddenly all of the enemies are promoted and have silver weapons where the only difficult parts of the game. The endgame chapters consist of moving the army forward and one rounding everything in range. Overall it wasn't too terrible, but there's supposed to be a harder difficulty added as free DLC so hopefully that will make the game better to play through the other routes.

Super Mario 64

Hopping while clicking yellow buttons proves a challenge that encourages practice. Brightly lit environments assure players to move from whichever direction. One power star trail becomes their own, reminding the player of the gift of free will.

SIR I BEAT FIRE EMBLEM 8 SKILLS PATCH AND IT WAS A VERY FUN EXPERIENCE. FIRE EMBLME 8 IS A TACTICS GAME WITH SOME ELEMENTS OF WAIFUING BEST GIRL TANA TO EPHRAIM SIR. One way I find people is using the Looking For Group section on the Xbox App. It can be used to find people doing specific things in the game. It is way better than just joining a random crew and it being chaos. The only downside is the majority people who use it uses the Xbox Party system to chat so you'll have to deal with that.

PERK CARD BUILDING WAS STRANGE AT FIRST, BUT I ENJOYED IT. IT HAS SOME GLITCHES, BUT NOTHING AS BAD AS WHEN IT CAME OUT. WEAPON MODDING IS FUN, BUT ARMOR MODDING IS KINDA LAME. Dead Rising 2. It wasn't as good as 1, but it was alright. Going to play the Frank West version next which hopefully is better. It's also very easy, way too easy. The only thing that made DR1 difficult was the bad survivor AI, which was fixed in the sequel. You don't even have to worry about the survivors, they rarely get stuck, and when they do they break free pretty fast, and just beeline to your position without difficulty. The whole game just feels tedious, the story isn't exactly engaging, and I don't care about any of the characters. The humor isn't as good or uniquely Japanese as the first game either.
Once again, there's basically one weapon you will make in the entire game; the knife boxing gloves, everything else is pointless compared to it since they're so easy to make and the supplies are right next to the safe house. It's the small chainsaw from the first game, just less powerful.

Also, the stupid co-op they forced into this game, well obviously no one is playing this dead game from nearly 10 years ago anymore so it just shows how pointless it was. Overall a 6/10 game honestly, while DR1 is an 8/10. Despite the first game's flaws, I had a lot more fun playing through it.

I played 3 recently, didn't play the others and I started 2 and I just couldn't get very far. It's not that it's bad, it's not but compared to 3 the gameplay is really mediocre. Shouldn't have started with 3 probably because it's such a better game in every way.

It was a bore with a server full of mates. I can only imagine the utter monotony of a single player experience.

Alien Isolation. God tier atmosphere and sound design. Good to absolutely awful level design. The Alien can be intimidating at first, but after you get killed by it a few times, it stops being scary and starts being a nuisance. It's just a piece of fucking shit that'll send you to the last save, losing you a few minutes. The immersion gets broken quite easily when you know that the Alien is just a fucking piece of shit AI that is ALWAYS on top of you, and doesn't do anything else but listen to whatever minuscule sound you may make to just go running to your ass the second it hears something. It teleports all over the place, doesn't care about any other human but you, and hovers and walks in circles in a place even though there's no real reason for it to be there (but you know that it's there because the AI director is telling it you are there). Fucking hated the times it jumps right in front of you or grabs you from some stupid vent you couldn't see and instakills you. Still, funnily enough, the game is at its best with the fucking alien. Also, fucking QTEs all over the place with almost every fucking interaction with the environment. Fucking god awful ending that also has a QTE segment. Almost no incentive to explore. Map could've been better. Had some other issues with it, but they are minor. Decent to good game overall.
