In 1, there was no Rose, Citron, Corn, or Tree on plant-side. The most popular mode was Gardens & Graveyards, whereupon it was fully asymmetrical with only the Plants defending, no Zombie defense. Similarly, no Super Brainz, Deadbeard, Imp, or Goat on Zombie side and Engineer had the drone. I was a fucking god with Painter and those days are now long-gone.

I fucking decimated in GW2. It was a really small playerbase on XB1 though and there were maybe 1 or 2 other players on my level who tended to be on the opposite team. Fun as fuck. Stopped playing because Overwatch came out. Bad decision. Mained Hot Rod Chomp and Toxic Pea Shooter on plants, Tennis Star and AC Perry on zombs.

PvZ2 was great, you can go far until you get fucked in the ass by plant-limit or sun-limit levels that really force you to use the purchasable power-ups.

Maybe you can argue it's an improvement to 1 which was too easy. I really liked PV2 up until the point where you couldn't even get 200 sun before broken ass instant kill zombies started spawning in multiple rows (not to mention apparently they made gold bloom premium). I can't remember what point my fun turned to frustration though, probably the dark ages wizards, then some worlds like the jurassic world and on was aggravating.

Anyone knows how active it is on PC? I played only GW1 and I had no troubles with finding games, bu I feel like GW2 was dead on PC on release. I might consider getting the 3rd one when it comes out but I'm not sure if PS4 or PC is best way to go

These games are primarily played by children, who mostly play on PS4. GW3 will probably be dead as fuck on PC after the first month, go PS4 if you actually care about playing the game longterm.
