He gets smarter over time. Season 2 is dragged out, but Parts 3-6 are all one long story (which is why it has the name Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji and each part just adds Kazuya-hen or One Poker-hen) that is really good.

He’s basically always a gameing addict with a superiority complex. That’s his entire charachter. Granted it’s pretty justified given some of the shit he manages to pull off. You should watch Season 2 just to witness the pure bullshit he manages to pull in the pachinko arc.

Sadly this, waifu fags will do whatever they can to keep some kind of positive spin on their shitty fap material.

I never read the manga but I liked season 2 of Kaiji, where he motivates the group of indentured servants to saving their money instead of spending every paycheck impulsively on snacks and beer. A lot of people could use that life lesson.

The reason I ask that is because Kaiji did have an official translation. Digital only, it was garbage. Pretty sure MangaRock has it.
Kaiji Part 4 also got an official translation by Barnes & Noble, but it's digital only.
If Kaiji does well, I'll assume Denpa will do Akagi and Kurosawa too, since they're namedropped in the Amazon page's description.
Hoping for a Buraiden Gai localization though, since it's only 5 volumes and could get a boxset

I legit couldn't finish Tonegawa. I came in expecting some sick worldbuilding and the same high stakes adrenaline rush that kaiji was on. Nope, it was primarily a comedy. I was so disappointed. Kaiji season 3 never ever.

This manga is fucking good despite being so short, and such a good end to Akagi. That entire ending was nothing but tears.

im at the part where he starts borrowing money from that dude who suspiciously looks like that old dude Hyodo. After he borrows money the next volume I get into i see kaiji in a car seemingly after the ordeal with new scheming boss

Parts 2-6 were done mostly by FKMTKrazy, who do translations of most Nobuyuki Fukumoto manga.

As Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji is the parent name for Parts 3-6. Parts 1 and 2 are Tobaku [something else] Kaiji.
Also, Part 5 carries on Part 4's chapter numbering, so when it starts from Chapter 98, don't get worried.

If on mobile go to manga rock look up kaiji and they should have parts 1-6 available to read. After kaiji bands with the 45ers he takes on the big guy and the casino hiest arc starts. Then after that the majong and later the friends arc. Leading to the big duel and finally the getaway

The problem was that the sequel shifted to having Kurosawa's problems come from stupidity rather than his inherent desire to be good. I stopped reading the sequel early on because the writing twists itself into bizarre coincidences to get him into trouble.

Honestly Kurosawa shouldn't have gotten a sequel, the sequel should have just been a new character altogether and it would have worked much better without having to just completely destroy all the progress that happened in first chapter.

The author of Ruroni Kenshin got a $2k fine for CP and nothing else. He's still working out fine.

Season 3 kaiji is pure majong 17 steps. Unless they split part 3 and 4 togetor it probobly wouldn’t do to well as most normal people don’t know how to play majong. However I could be wrong. On the bright side the pachinko machine for 17 steps actually has some scenes for season 3 in it check it out
