Never even said it was better, just that 7 is the DQ most deserving of that particular adjective.

I do prefer 11 (only slightly), though. It's almost as dense but a good bit shorter, and instead of going for pure quantity the dialogue and character writing is much better, and the scenarios have a bit more oomph to them. Better battle balance and systems as well. 7 has far better post-game grinding and content though, especially the 3DS version. They're two of my favored entries, right up there with 1, 3 and 5. I've come to enjoy 4 far more recently when I originally thought very little of it, but I'm not sure where to place it considering how "one and done" it is compared to the others.

Now I love 8, but nothing beats that DQ1 (or Dragon Warrior) feel. 11 didn't have that either. Too much of 11 feels like Final Fantasy 12. It has the same disjointed feeling in terms of dialogue. I like Henrick, Jade.....that's it. Gameplay is okay, I hate the design of the ability icons. Just a lot of little things and overall the story kinda bores me.
