I spent 200 hours in Magic Arena this year alone. It's fun as fuck. Anyways, it's not Epic exclusive, you can still just download it from the website.

go back to jacking off to porn games, steam drone.

cope

huh?
but its free and on their website, why put it on a store?

>Literally seething because you're wrong and made this thread for nothing.

Epic will never gain any traction until they have a launcher to rival Steam's. They may get some crumbs, but there isn't going to be some mass-exodus to Epic. They are focusing on everything except what they should be (to ensure long-term viability).

I'm sure a few D&D nerds care

>yugioh duel links is exclusive to steam
>magic is exclusive to epic
so let the war begin

wtf i love epic now

Nigga thats like putting gokarts and cars on the same track, beside Arena is a free 2 play game from the MTG website, it makes no sense to put it on the epic store

What do they mean by "exclusively"? You can already play it. Are they going to kill the non-Epic version or something?

Magic the Gathering has absolutely nothing to do with D&D and absolutely nothing in common outside of the word "magic" and a couple races. It has as much in common as it has with Harry Potter.

The most pointless exclusive yet, i mean, you can still download the game on the client made by Wizards and there is no reason to use EGS, it's jot as if they have anything their client can do that's different and considering the comments of many people around the world, their payment methods are really lacking so...why not just use the original client?

same company made both products

didnt D&D adopt MTG into its "canon" recently? but yeah, different type of games

Zoomers listen to retarded trap music of course they gonna use a retarded store front. Steam is like Icq or Myspace to them.

They made a D&D varient for Ravnica, its shit just like the plain

Zoomers don't have the money Boomers do, though.

Free Hong Kong

>download client off web instead of epic shit store
>"""""""exclusive"""""""

No they didn't. Wizards of the Cost published Magic the Gathering and bought D&D in the mid 90s. D&D predates WotC by 16 years and was already well-established when WotC bought it.
Even so, being owned by the same company isn't a strong link. That's like saying that Zelda fans would be upset about something happening to Metroid just because both are made by Nintendo. There is more crossover between MTG and board games than between MTG and D&D.

No. D&D doesn't even have a canon. It has a bunch of settings with their own worlds and canons. MTG concepts and such may have been adapted into one of the first-party settings, or may have been adapted into a setting in its own right.
D&D isn't a "game", really. It's a framework and set of mechanics that are used as a base for a game. It's more akin to a game engine than a game.

>you can still download the client off their website
I don't get this deal at all.

What's the point? I guess just ad space on epic?

>Will still be available in Wizard's web site for free.
>EGS Exclusive.
Nice try, Timmy.

Wait so why make it exclusive when its not even exclusive?

OP is a faggot as usual

>"Nothing changes for anyone currently playing Magic: The Gathering Arena. When MTG Arena launches on the Epic Games Store, it will continue to be available for direct download from MTGArena.com. Existing players on the Wizards platform will not be required to create Epic accounts."

not for long goy. we will make sure that website link is removed. oh, and you already did download it for there? we'll just produce a generic error message saying you need our launcher.

fuck off steamcuck

It's like paying for an ad on a billboard or a newspaper.
With so little games on the EGS discoverability is still pretty good there.

>Epic cucking themselves to advertise someone's game with it's own client.
>Probably paid them tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege to do so
WE CAN'T STOP WINNING EPICBROS

Taiwan #1

Free Tibet

If the amount of money microtransactions make is any indicator, then either those zoomers get money somewhere, or boomers are just as retarded.

This is the most pointless exclusive I've seen yet. Epic shills are getting desperate. Did Epic games even announce anything worth while during the conference

>Did Epic games even announce anything worth while during the conference
The only notable game was the new Oddworld. Everything else was either old games or literal who indie garbage. Even games you would think are a given for EGS, like Kerbal 2, were announced for Steam.

Remember Tiananmen Square.

When is the Fortnite money going to dry up?

In all honesty it probably won't. Once it starts to slow down, Microsoft will probably buy Fortnite for a couple billion like they did Minecraft.

Will they ever release it to Android

Your phone would explode, my dude.

>Magic the Gathering

Who cares? It's Pheonix Point, Borderlands 3 and Mechwarrior 5 that piss me off
Still not getting Epic though

They do that and they're basically shooting any fanbase of Magic: Arena has left.

This is true. But it only benefits WotC. What does Epic get out of this? I'm sure WotC would like to have their game on every storefront, but Epic bought off exclusivity again. MtG fans will have already known about the game and are playing it. The people noticing this billboard will already be using the Epic Games Store. So it's not like it will generate lots of new traffic. I'm starting to get the sense Tim Sweeney isn't very good at marketing.
