Wolfenstein 09 gets shit on a lot but I have fond memories of it. I remember I was bedridden for like a week and my dad just came home with it for me so that I had something to play. I can't dislike it

the game was good. It has this pseudo-open world/hub world thing going on when going from mission to mission to from upgrade location, etc.. it was a neat concept. There was stuff you could loot, and nazis to kill.

Wolf3d and RTCW were what put Wolfenstein on the map, and the 2009 game parted away from that fast-paced, run-and-gun formula for more modern FPS mechanics, which is why it felt like a COD game. RTCW was the last real Wolf.
