I am, and not sure if it's because my expectations were super low, but it's an amazing game, a shitload of content and really fun.

I am but its... ehhh. I think I need to play online. HMU steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198014444506/

What did they mean about this

lets have more porn threads

So weird how w/ fitgirl you can play with friends for free now. After playing it for about three hours, I can say that's it's worth it at -25% discount. Outside of that, it's much better than I expected, and way better than the Twitch streams I was watching to see what I was in for. This game literally copies so many key mechanics of Dark Souls (it comes off as less of an homage and more of a ripoff if you ask me): teleportation checkpoints (bonfires) which refill your dragon hearts (estus flask) and reset all enemies in the area. They literally put a ghost/smoke type veil for when you enter into boss fights/instances just like Dark Souls does. There's probably more I'm forgetting. Either way, I like those mechanics in general so it doesn't bother me. The gunplay is smoother and better than I imagined, and there's a lot of enemy variety (enemy abilities, not as much look; they all look like different textured/formed red creatures). Buy it if the price drops, not worth $40.

I'll play it once I get myself new pc.

This is getting shilled pretty hard.
Looks interesting but not interesting enough for it to have 5 threads an hour.

I saw some gameplay of it and it looked so bland. Like everything about it; the gameplay, the shooting, the sounds, the UI, the setting. Just so mediocre looking.

I posted the second thread. I searched the catalog but this retard never typed in the game name.

I'm genuinely curious about the game, faggot.

What the fuck is this even, it sounds like a Dark Souls clone like The Surge from

the second thread that came out 20 minutes before this one
uh huh

Trust me, pirate the game to test it out. If being considered a Dark Souls clone just means that you copy most if not all the key mechanics of dark souls (not counting mobility/necessarily gameplay), then this a textbook Dark Souls clone. It's VERY obvious that these developers love that game. It's nowhere near as difficult as a From Software game, but can be challenging in some parts.

a lot better than i thought. im 4 hours in so far and we just beat the first "world" and moving into the second. there seems to be a lot of replay value with the randomized maps and bosses.

>teleportation checkpoints is owned by dark souls
>refillable health items is dark souls
>enemies respawn

wew lad, if that's all thats "like dark souls" then it has almost nothing to do with it.

I'm at the desert, got a bit burned out will play again tomorrow

>gamplay
Like they said, much better than expected. Same goes for the shooting, both aren't very bad and there are good mechanics in there. A lot smoother than you'd think.
>sounds
Monster noises are good, the voice acting is god awful, the story is VERY bad, cutscenes are skippable (thank god).
>UI
Some parts feel triple-A, in fact, most do, some parts come off as indie $15 game kind of stuff. Generally good UI.
>setting
Most dungeons I've come across from my ~4 hours playing look similar but have different layouts. Most of the ones you get in have the same tileset.
>customization
Pretty terrible, not sure if that gets better, doesn't seem like it.
You literally sit crossed at a glowing stone and have the ability to teleport to your base or any previous checkpoint. Dragon hearts, when activated, are eaten by the player (like drinking from the flask) for about a second or two (with a walking animation while your movement is slowed, just like Dark Souls) and you regen full health. That's a blatant ripoff because the fucking game HAS normal healing-over-time potions. I have never seen a difficult/challenging game that has a veil-like barrier to let you know you're about to enter into a boss fight outside of From Software titles. Name games that have ANY of those mechanics, ripped off to the degree Remnant is that came out before 2009-2011.

music are good
wheres the ost

>picture name 1remnant
>type remnant
>first one to come up

I'm enjoying it
Found a hidden SMG in the medical area of Ward 13 which was pretty cool. Had to do a handful of steps to get to it and it seems pretty ok so far

I'm saying,a veil barrier to a boss, teleportation checkpoints, and refillable health items doesn't make it even close to dark souls other than they took a couple game mechanics that exist in other games before dark souls. It also has upgrading weapons? Must be dark souls, it has weapon and item drops too, must be dark souls. It's also hard! Just like dark souls!

How much content is there? I keep hearing it's a very short game

Have you played both games? I have. The game itself may not be exactly like Dark Souls, but those mechanics were ripped straight from From Software games without a doubt.

Saw a plebstreamer do it in 15 hours, so for a skilled player around 8-9 hours

Are they going too continue to update after launch? Looks really cool but do not want to spend $40 on a game that won't see much new content.

ouch, doesn't worthwhile unless they also copied souls invading

its meant to be replayed. you wont see nearly every boss in one run since its randomized.

I am, got 20 hours played during sunday and a few hours today. Beat it around the 15 hour mark so Im currently working on a hard world now. I found a build I love using and I cant wait to find more mods, weapons and armor sets to test out different stuff.

I do hope they add something like seasons from Diablo 3, as I think this game would be fucking perfect for it.
Maybe some dumb fucking player portrait or some small basic cosmetics as rewards for doing challanged during those seasons like you do in Diablo.

It's a dungeon crawler meant to be replayed but I think 15-20 hours

It desperately needs DLC worlds, more armor and an actual magic system beyond mod abilities. Melee also needs to be a viable playstyle by itself.

Bhh
