It was okay. Enjoyed it more than SotN I suppose. Didn't like how much menuing there was when backtracking around watery areas.
How do the other GBA and DS games compare?

Soma is a tranny
Mostly because it was shorter.
Good for them.
It's okay, not the best IGAvania, but it's still pretty good in its own right.
The grind is pretty crazy if you want to go for 100% souls and items though.
where am I supposed to take the soul that can see time paradoxes?
Why would I do that
I had that same problem with the menuing in the water stuff. If I knew how to make patches and edit the game, I'd try to make Undine and Skula ability souls instead of enchanted.
The DS ones are great in my opinion, but keep in mind that if you're going to emulate Dawn of Sorrow you may want to google the patch so you don't have to deal with how they shoehorned the touchscreen.
But his entire character arc is about him choosing to remain human
That's where the most content is. If you just run through the game it's like 4 hours at most.
I got the best ending and 99% map exploration, that's good enough
I know what patch you're talking about and I plan to use it on a DS :-)
Aria of Sorrow is an amazing game
The ending is slightly different if you get every soul
I suggest you take a break before playing DoS, because it's literally the same fucking game.
Play PoR or OoE.
Wait until you're able to get the Soul Eater Ring, you'll have like most of them by then with no grinding. The best way to play the game is not to grind at all and treat it like a semi-roguelike, if that makes sense.
Holy shit that logo is so bad
It's a shame because the art behind it is genuinely gorgeous
Is it ok to play dawn of sorrow first? IK it's a sequel but I use my vita to play GBA games and it broke
I miss Kojima. Wasn't this the last game she did the art for before they went generic animu?
It's fine, it was an awful idea anyways.
While we're at it, I strongly recommend Julius mode from DoS. Best additional mode imo
too bad they butchered the art style in dawn of sorrow
Depends though, do you know THE thing about Soma? In case you know what I'm talking about, then go for it
OOC has good box art, and its logo isn't shit
the other ones after Aria have generic anime shit tho
I still can't understand why.
Did they think a more "cartoony" anime style would bring in the younger crowd more?
Modders to the rescue romhacking.net
Why the fuck do the DS games play on the bottom screen?? Seriously it's the most baffling thing in the world
Not quite. Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness, and Dracula X Chronicles had Kojima
Yeah, if only there was a setting that could let you change it. *sigh*
Yes, ik the thing lol
I already played like 5 minutes of DOS and they literally tell you in the opening text crawl
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic and there is a setting to change it
I sure can't find one, and I beat OOC
Thanks, user. I totally forgot about Dracula X. Best Richter design imo
DS menu
No they don't it's supposed to be a shocking reveal like 3/4's in.
Soma is Dracula.
DS menu? what?
Nice
Hey, whoever they got to replace her for OoE did an absolutely brilliant job too.
Lmao they literally say that in the dawn of sorrow text crawl dude
They don't.
You can change which screen to play GBA games from the DS settings
He's saying Dawn of Sorrow and you're thinking Aria of Sorrow
and now we wait for the ritual of the night
It's good but it's no Kojima
user...
ye it's because op's taste isn't shit
So is mina his Dead wife reincarnated or just another waifu?
That’s not OoE
That’s bloodstained
I’m talking about the DS games, not the GBA games
>that pose
>that torso
Man, Kojima is fucking terrible at foreshortening or anything remotely involving perspective in her drawing. She should just stick to head-on portraits with those amorphous, ornate eye candy blobs.
Yeah the DS games are a more refined experience except if you didnt like igavanias all that much maybe you should not waste more time trying these games.
Yes, but it's Kojima
So long as I don't have to pause every five seconds
