Nadine is also a really weird character in that the story goes out of its way to establish that she's a PMC leader and has her as a recurring "Nathan gets whooped every time" threat, but she's mostly just there to be the bad guy's right hand woman otherwise in terms of actual role. And somehow she survives and even shrugs off being divebombed through a wooden floor and into stone and only finally gets stopped when taken hostage at gunpoint.
