We'll never get this concept art version of Joker
Other urls found in this thread:
persona 5 was awful
Rent free.
It's not concept art, it's from the Granblue Fantasy collab. Retard.
Style over substance.
Joker looks exactly like that.
Retard over not being a retard
I haven’t played persona but jokers cute as fuck bro
That’s not concept art you colossal retard?
I've been playing it through emulation this month. I like it. Yeah its the literal definition of style > substance but thats not necessarily a bad thing and its good at doing what it does.
Except... I'm at the ending on the bridge leading to the final boss. It should've ended a couple hours ago. Mementos depth was stretching it. This is now entirely unnecessary.
Would've been kino if it ended after Shido confessed. Why does it have to end with god? Why are Japanese writers so afraid of keeping things human?
The themes of Persona 5 sort of remind me of another party-based RPG with lots of character dialogue. Pyre. In Pyre all the characters in the party are outcasts, exiled from their homeland for crimes. They are seeking to not only regain their freedom but also reform the society that has thrust them out and create a brighter future through rebellion.
Persona 5 only scratches the surface-level of its themes. In Pyre the most memorable moment for me was when the man who initially planned the rebellion asks you and the rest of the characters "What is Freedom? What does it truly mean to be Free?" and then explores this topic.
These sorts of human questions are infinitely more interesting then "Evil god brainwashes people and must be stopped"
Also fuck Morgana
>we'll never get the Persona 5 Beta design Joker.
this but actually
Why do you keep making Joker threads? Your husbando is from a bad game and he's straight so he would never love you.
>he didn’t list the song that was playing at this point in the video in the description
>took me a half an hour to realize it was from undertale
Video was shit just because of that.
Nice stealth Granblue thread
based zoibro
what part of the video?
seeing as that thing only has 30k views I've got to wonder that it's just some guy from Yea Forums who's shilling his own shit
Undertale’s soundtrack is the only good thing about it
>ywn tuck joker in before bed
at the 3:12:00 mark
Yea that's the amalgam fight.
I kept thinking it was from Castle Crashers or Alien Hominid.
Literally lucked into Zooey on my free draw 5 hours before the flash gala finished
Not at a point in the game progression where I can actually utilize her yet, but its nice to have for the future
All Persona games are awful, 5 gets the most shit because it's the newest and normalfags love it. Characters have been the same shit forever.
why is he covered in bed bug bites
I decided to bite the bullet and watch the video. Why was there so much butthurt over such a tame video? Are RPG fans really this sheltered?
The video is mostly here is how the pacing of a plot line fucks up, (if it applies) here are some questionable developments it handles poorly, mementos are a bad mechanic and the endings could have done more. It seems pretty fair and reasonable, P5 attempted to do a lot and never quite manages it. All while not really doing a good job at updating the series formula. The characters are still likeable, the ideas raised are still good but it is kinda weird to just go beat up pedo parents in the magic world and then make the promise not to do that again. That isn't satisfying and feels like the devs either ran out of time or didn't know how to handle a very difficult topic in a stiff structure. He is even pretty positive about stuff like based Yoshida.
It is way too long though, I've made it 2 hours in and while the arguments aren't bad it is a similar issue each time. I guess he wanted to do a mauler but a more focused video would be better.
Very likely at first, but you only need 1 random guy to become obsessed and they'll post the same thing for a year.
>we'll never get Persona 2 rereleased in English on modern systems
For granblue fags, is the only way to get a weapon and summon to get that gold +1 or 2 or whatever in the right corner to feed other weapons or summons that have a + on it? Or can you randomly get the number up while feeding any kind of fodder?
The +s are specifically from drops that you get that have the + on them.
They're separated between weapon and summon, for some reason.
Is the increase from the pluses consistent with the number on the item you're feeding or is it the total number of items with pluses on it?
Like for example I think i've only picked up drops with +1 on it but say if I feed a +5 weapon into another weapon, will it now be +5 or only +1?
It'd be +5, the + system in gbf is actually super friendly, I think the only way to lose them is if you sell things.
Perfect, cheers mate
If you fuck up and/or just want to move them around you can do it by hitting "reset +markers". It does cost an amount of rupies but it's generally not too expensive.
but user it gets good 78 hours in!
Play my game.
I sure hope people don't start memeing about that video every single time people mention the game sucking from now o
fuck
Crticism was mostly hand waved anyway, this just speeds up the process for all of us.
Oh you fucking know he's from here. Point is people will repost it forever now unprompted, just like
>The Town Made Him Stupid
I mean I guess so.
Aside from the guy who made it missing some really obvious character stuff because he's retarded it's a pretty thorough compilation of P5's gameplay and writing problems.
What is that town quote referring to?
I never understood those threads.
That's kind of my problem with it. Don't care too much about the video itself but the people who will use it as shitpost tools or to try and have a discussion with you using someone else's work ("dude watch this video, it explains exactly what i mean when I say this games sucks!") will be at an all time high for months, especially with Royal coming soon
If this video came out in 2017 or last year or something I wouldn't care as much because it would just be piling on the discussion that was already happening that we moved on from.
The butthurt is because Persona 5 has a lot of fans who claim it's one of the best JRPGs ever and immediately get irrationally angry when you start talking about its problems. You're right that it would be better to not spend three hours recapping the entire plot of the game and explaining why it's busted, but even if you excised the writing complaints people would still be crying because P5 was a perfect masterpiece that can do no wrong.
Even pointing out that the game has weird continuity errors due to constant rewrites and a messy production or that there are strange plot contrivances that exist solely because the game repurposed P4's skeleton (the metaverse Navi app was used to replicate the function of the collective unconscious being filled with fog and the IT needing to see where they need to go on the midnight channel so they can't just go looking around for the next dungeon) is too much for them.
A dipshit e-celeb who's too autistic to understand horror --to the point that he makes the "it doesn't harm me why should I be scared" argument-- talked mad shit about Silent Hill 2 because he couldn't conceive the idea that a person would lie to themselves or have delusions. While bickering with his Twitch chat he took their attempt to explain this to him to mean Silent Hill brainwashed James, which he conveyed as "So the town made him stupid." and asked why he should be impressed.
Not like it matters. People've been making the same points for years now, and nobody listens. At worst they'll keep ignoring it, at best a few people will finally take notice since it's being presented in a form where they don't have to read.
I think part of the problem is that on both sides, it is difficult to accept that you can have an immensely flawed yet still enjoyable product. For the most part that video did an okay job mind you, but he did go for some of that internet reviewer over exasperation.
P5 is like an alright FotM anime, you can have a pretty good time with it but that doesn't mean you can't criticise the issues. Just like FotM anime, a lot of the fans are young and with that comes all the great things that brings to a fandom. The internet demands perfection, when in reality we can just accept thing as that could have been better but it was still a fun time. So when something we like isn't perfect, instead of just being reasonable we lash out. With persona I think that issue sees a particular clash as it has been hyped up as more than just a standard high school anime, that it actually tackles themes and shit. So when P5 is a bit surface level with most of the content it sticks out.
Wind blows
Rain falls
Yea Forums seethes about P5
To be honest a lot of his criticisms were already making the rounds in Yea Forums threads even at release.
Like you said, some people just can't accept that they can like something that's heavily flawed.
>I think part of the problem is that on both sides, it is difficult to accept that you can have an immensely flawed yet still enjoyable product.
I like how you say something completely reasonable like this, but then immediately jump over to people "demanding perfection." I don't care if something's flawed as hell. I love NieR, and that game's busted as fuck. I think P5's writing and gameplay loop are just ass and didn't have fun playing it, and think that if either was fixed it'd at least be fun.
>P5fags seethe about Yea Forums
Fixed.
>but then immediately jump over to people "demanding perfection."
But that is a thing that happens online, people will exaggerate the most minor of flaws just as they will attempt to sideline the biggest. Most threads here will feature at least one person claiming a game is worthless cause of one aspect.
>Most threads here will feature at least one person claiming a game is worthless cause of one aspect.
Had the misfortune of reading a shitpost here saying that p5 was bad because magic was involved in the story. Because in a game involving demons, magic is one of things you don't expect.
I know some people do that, but my point is you're jumping from a reasonable idea about how people polarize discussion to dismissing opposing viewpoints as being unwilling to accept that things can be flawed but enjoyable. Instead of acknowledging that some people are just going to enjoy a product regardless of whether you could call it "good" or not and other people won't, and some people can accept these things and others don't, you're dragging it back to one side and characterizing the discussion based on your feelings on the game.
>as being unwilling to accept that things can be flawed but enjoyable
But that is literally a thing that happens, people do become unreasonable on subjects. I didn't not say that is every case of disagreement. Just that cases like this are common. The internet is geared to push conversations to be about absolutes, so reasonable discussion does devolve over time. You know like claiming someone made a completely different point than their actual post, acting like they didn't acknowledge that flawed products can be enjoyed despite their downfalls.
>ywn worship joker's cute bare feet as he sleeps
I really can't tell if you're doing this on purpose or if you're having trouble understanding me, so I'm just going to stop.
