What's the best fighting game ever and why is it this?

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, especially the PS3 edition

It was the last Tekken that had a great amount of content, that wasn't overall detrimental to the game. It's the last Tekken to look good for the console it was on as well. 6 felt like a huge step down and was visually disgusting to look at; 7 and TTT2 just looked like T6 without the aliasing problems.

This is the only one I know that lets you do that, got removed in the sequel though.

I too watch epic youtuber mainmain and get all my opinions about games I've never played from him

in reality that steve infinite was banned more or less immediately after it came out

>Worse aesthetic than previous games (snow stage left footprints in the ground in tekken 6, the same stage in 7 doesn't, none of the stages have any personality except for total shitpost stuff like the child playroom. every single song is dubstep)
>Cut a bunch of characters people actually give a shit about for shit like saheen (explicitly made to try and bait arabs into playing this game and designed by comittee, 0 personality in his moves or character) katarinia (Sexy Babe character to try and get semenbrains to play tekken by having a character you can mash 3 with and win against the AI), and chloe (the most annoying parts of capo and lili combined) then charge money for them later as DLC
>0 worthwhile single player content. way less customization stuff than in tag 2 and a bunch of it is paid DLC. the only side game is tekken bowling when people like ball/force way more and it was also DLC
>Still have the same loading times as tekken 6 and the same shitty online despite a full decade later

I've never played any fighting games where stuff has had to be competitively banned, but I guess that makes sense if you don't want to just not have tekken for that generation

So you've only played street fighter 4?

5DR was my favorite gameplay wise. The balance had some issues but the pacing of the matches was on point, 7 isn't bad but since 6 the combos have become way too long which makes the pacing less enjoyable.
