Mugen can't handle complex fighting mechanics and the way it handles charge motions is fucked. Hard to tell from the vids but I don't think they can use the engine at all if they're aiming to sell commercially. I think it just gives off that Mugen feel because of the unfinished sprite animations.

What happened with it?

I didn't see parrying in the trailer. The gameplay looks okay, but the music is dreadful.

If this is an example of the final product, I'll stick with 3S thanks.

Everything that coupd have hurt the game by being not prioritized did. People only bother with fightcade games for one reason. Ggpo making them playable online. If you play samsho on fightcade then on steam you will realize why a lot of them are dead and why the active ones are alive

I thought about doing the large background character goal and/or the secret boss character goal just to try and create the most obnoxious troll shit ever, but I'm glad I didn't bother.
