Rosalina could be millions if not billions of years old, having seen the universe come and go a number of times beyond counting. Or maybe she's like 20 something, who knows.

I don’t doubt she was born with some destiny, but she was otherwise a normal girl who became a goddess. Because of that though she can still be a normal, literally down to earth person. She’s essentially the Thanos of the Marioverse, but good and benevolent.
The developers wanted her to be related to Peach, but Miyamoto is an autist and can’t stand developed characters and shut that down. You can tell from what little we see of Rosalina’s mother that she bears a strong resemblance to Peach, so it’s always stuck in my head that she’s the daughter of Peach and Mario from an alternate timeline, and thus became powerful due to being the offspring of two Star Children.
But I also headcanon Bowser Jr. actually being the biological son of Peach and Bowser, via Kamek’s magic shenanigans in an attempt to harness that same kind of power.

Where you getting this from? If it’s the ending of galaxy 1 I think your theory is a stretch. Bowsers galaxy generator had crashed and was already making a singularity, and the lumas seemed to do what they did on their own. It was special circumstances so I don’t think rosa can just hit reset whenever she wants.
She can clearly make the jump from one canon to the next though, what with another Mario and Peach hinted at being her parents.
