Port machine wins again, baby!
Would this game be a good fit for switch? Or would I be better off waiting for it to be finished on pc.
>early access on switch
Huh
>Playing shooters on consoles
Yikes.
Definitely get it for PC, if at all.
seething snoy
Randy wants the money now.
It's a rogue like right? Those are usually good for portable crap but I imagine it's multiplayer focused and most people will be on pc.
>High end pc gets fps drop around 8 stage
>thinking switch can handle this
Oh well gotta admit that CG trailer was cool as fuck.
Mods is also one thing, There's a 10 man mod, Which is probably impossible on consoles
Performance may suffer in long runs
It's a roguelite TPS. I can't fathom how anyone could prefer to aim on a controller rather than KB+M.
Have both, PS4 for new games and Switch for ports of 7th gen ones. Seethe, poorfag.
>Thinking Switchlets can handle pic related
RoR2 for Smash :^)
After a certain point the only danger in this game is becoming to lazy to jump all the time.
Also
>fate unknown
That guy literally mercy killed his own run with a suicide.
I hear a lot of praise for gyro aim as the best method for shooters on console but I don't play shooters much myself so I can't corroborate that. All those people using it for Splatoon and Daemon X Machina adding it due to fan feedback must mean there's some merit to it I guess.
its my friend's run, He literally was too tired to keep going. Engie is fucking OP though. All he did was stand near his turrets with the shrooms and he was invincible.
It's genuinely fanboys, it's something they have and others don't so they keep flaunting it. It's not very good.
Splatoon was made from the ground up for gyro.

kill yourself
Gyro aiming is mostly for precision aiming, whihc you move your controller a tiny bit in a direction to accurately aim. Usually work best in FPS shooters where you want to get good headshots, In ROR2, you literally will need to move and aim around 360 90% of the time which is impossible with a controller
Just bought this game on pc because it's going to be more expensive on the switch and randy bitchford is going to raise the price to compensate.
It's fine tuning for precision aiming on a console, it takes a bit of practice but obviously it's better than just stick aiming.
There's a reason otherwise most shooters come with automatic aim adjust when it isn't multiplayer.
Will they tweak the balance in some way then for switch? Since this port is pointless then if aiming is gbat crucial.
Switch version will just have an artificial enemy cap because no indie knows how to optimize Unity.
smoothbrain
Honestly dont know, Unless you are gonna be spinning your controller all the time, Switch owners will probably not get far in the game unless they adjust the difficulty or something.
Probably they will get their shit together and reduce somethings to make it playable on it
Probably a good call
thanks for betraying us hopoo you retarded faggot
I like gyro, it works very well when camera control is handled between both the stick and gyro.
The stick is mostly used for broad movements and the gyro is used to directly pinpoint, so if they have appropriate keybinds to do a 180 degree spin or have a means to snap the camera to the way the character is facing I can see it working okay
>i demand he has less sales
cringe post
cool trailer
They should have started with the first one. I loved the shit out of that game and would definitely double dip to play it again portably. I haven't checked out the sequel yet, is it good for lovers of the original?
Risk of Rain 1 is already on Switch, retard.
selling out to nintendo manchildren is just as bad as epic exclusivity
The original is already ported to the Switch. Not sure how the netcode is, but it lacks 1x zoom and also flips the default controls for some reason, otherwise plays fine.
What the fuck? When did this happen?
First one was already on Vita/Switch.
Instead of fulfilling their promised goals they spent their time making a port to get more money.
Quite a while ago.
There have been files for Switch development in the game since it was put in early access. You mong. You cock-loving shit-for-brains.
Stop talking out of your ass. The game is already optimised nicely even before release
too bad difficulty isn't shown on death/obliteration screen
Any ideas what Skills 2.0 will be? Full pass on all the characters or alternate skills for everyone and you can pick A or B for every slot?
This will be a blast if it actually functions.
Which entails gyro aiming and a playable framerate
Any details about it?
Crossplatform?
not surprise. saw the switch files in the unity files months back. game currently runs like shit so the tegra tablet will have a hard 30fps cap
wait so how will shitch handle the game?
even PCs have trouble after some time
Game looks like something a PS2 could handle but requires a quad-core PC with a 1060gtx to run decently.
>porting an unfinished game
but why
>quad-core PC
that's ps2 tier cpu nowadays.
>Playing PS4 for multiplats instead of PC
>Calling others poorfags
gryo is great, it's certainly a big step up over twinsticks, but it's not as good as kbm
I wonder if it'll have crossplatform. that's really all I want to know, since I have a couple friends who would only get this on switch, so if I could still play with them on pc, that'd be great
>Decent PC cost around 600-800 dollars
>PC is poor
>what is gyro aiming?
Oh yeah, forgot people are strangely allergic to something that makes aiming a ton better because they still think they have to flail their arms around and don't even try it.
This is great, More people should play the game.
But i recommend anyone interested in the game to play on PC for the intended experience.
>what is gyro aiming?
Something better than regular aiming on controllers but still worse than kbm.
Still won't work that well for RoR 2.
>Risk of Rain is now good, but only if it's on the Switch because fanboys refuse to play games on other systems
I hate console wars.
I literally use gyro on PC to play the game
Blow it out your ass
>bought Risk of Rain 2 on Steam because I assumed it was going to be too intense to run on a Switch
>mfw fucking Switch version announced
I mean Im glad. But didint hoppo say he wanted to get to 1.0 before considering console versions?
probably forced by shitbox. No idea why they sold themselves out. It's not like being published will help them in any way.
This is a new game
Gyro aim is still straight up garbage compared to mouse.
It's a great improvement over gamepad sticks, but that's about it.
>not like being published will help them in any way
Secure income if the game failed on launch?
Help them bring it to consoles later on?
but the game didnt fail everyone already bought it.
But I thought the game wasn't finished yet?
They could have looked for a publisher for just specifically a console release.
Hoping for the latter, but I'm certain Hopoo will let us down as usual.
>actual shills
you are pathetic subhuman retards
get a life
Yeah I know, but they were with Gearbox before launch.
Probably not, Gearbox might have said they'll help but only if they are in from the start.
this but unironically
Go complain to the monster hunter fags
What does Monster Hunter have to do with anything?
you reckon we will get crossplatform? not doubledipping cause pc is much better but id like to play with friends on the switch
God no please no. Gamepad shitters will kill long runs.
I think either one will be fine, but a full pass needs to be visual and audio too. The Commando is pathetic
well if you want long runs play solo, multiplayer is having fun with other people
so which one had a shittier gamescom xbox or portendo? they were equally nothing for me
RoR2 shouldn't get console ports because trying to play Merc with a controller sounds like MAXIMUM cancer.
>Playing shooters on consoles
>Steal dealing with hackers on pc
Y-Y-You too
NO ACRID
NO BUY
FUCK OFF
>fancy cg trailer
apparently since you're fucking loaded now how about you use money on developing your (UNFINISHED) fucking game hopoo you jew bitch
>Hackers
>In a PvE game
Oh nooooo...
This is a new game seething snoy faggot.
Seriously, this.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if Gearbox made the trailer.
>After a certain point the only danger in this game is becoming to lazy to jump all the time.
try playing other difficulties drizzlet
That trailer was mostly just shit mocapping and a bunch of stock PBR assets, to be fair.
>Devs expending time on a shitty port instead of actually finishing the game
>Now updates will take more time since they have to update for different platforms
A-at least the trailer is cool, right?
There wasn't a release date, though, so maybe the port doesn't come out until the last Roadmap update?
>won't be able to put anything too complex into the game because console has to keep up
>Release date is summer next year
Yeah... maybe
It happens on monsoon too, you dumb fag.
My friend played on Rainstorm.
Nevertheless Engineer is OP with his Mushrooms.
Congrats now you get to experience the disappointment that is RoR2 on your nincel machine.
For their sake I hope they get the finished product and don't have to suffer through the slow ass EA update schedule
The only people console warring here are you fags that are mad about the Switch for some reason
It's not that bad, really
Because the updates were already too spaced out and too little in content. Making a Switch version this early is gonna amplify this issue tenfold.
There'd be no issue if it was post release.
>The only people console warring here are you fags that are mad about the Switch for some reason
Snoys are false flagging like mad. I really don't give a fuck if it's on Switch. Though I've only put in 50 hours so far.
Summer?
Well this summer just ended, so it'd be summer 2020 then?
So right after the early access ends?
Will be shit, can't have 10-man modanon on switch.
Everybody is worried about performance, wonder how the devs Wil work around yo make this fit the Switch.
They are made ay all the games Switch is getting. I'm amazed at this Microsoft/Nintendo partnership. Didn't see It coming.
Anyone up for some vanilla RoR2 monsoon? I'll host a server if enough are interested.
Gyro my friend
Gyro aiming is the shit
Risk of Rain 1 is already on Switch
After using everything
>Elder god
K+M
>God
Gyro on high sensitivity
>better
RE4 pointer controls
>Shit
Classic twin stick
Still doesn't come close to a mouse.
Update when?
Chef when?
Fair but compared to everything else it’s far better
It’s like the world record race time being 1:32 and you finish the race at 1:40 seconds meanwhile 2nd place is 2:20
You might not be a new World record champion but holy fuck no one else stood a chance
Yeah, that's fair.
10man host when?
its okay console had an auto aim character made for them with this bullshit in mind
>even more distractions to slow them down
very epic
>they sold out to pic related so a bunch of snoyboys at gearbox publishing could make this cg trailer
i love you hoppo but why u do this
I could see them adding a dedicated 180° turn button. Would pretty much be required for Merc, at least.
>multiplat game
>"haha its port"
>Guillotine going to green
They need to move that slow green item to white them, its so fucking bad.
Why did it sound like a Marvel trailer?
Oh fuck me and disregard that post. Another tab was playing the Endgame trailer.
The real worst green is Red Whip.
I wish RoR2 would go back to RoR1's system of "all boss enemies drop items but bosses can also drop white items as well" instead of this dumb "only portal event bosses give items" shit.
>gearbox
I think that should be an Artifact rather than a part of the base game, throwing in so many more items might be too much.
Red Whip is also very shit but you can feel the out of combat speed versus slow basically not being noticeable at all. It sucks since Guillotine feels borderline necessary after even an hour on Monsoon
I think the biggest problem is that RoR2's item balance is sort of fucked in general compared to RoR1. One of the best examples I can think of is how Shield is almost fucking useless now compared to RoR1 shield.
riskofrain.fandom.com
>Nintendo has no third parties
>wtf nintendo has third parties
Seething~
>buy ROR2 on switch
>don't get to play with a mouse
>probably not gyro either, let's be real
>don't get to play on modded 10man servers
>don't get to use the model swaps
What's even the point?
WHERE
IS
CHEEEEEEEEEF
I honestly hope they just give up on making new characters.
>Artificer is shit
>MUL-T is boring and was absolutely busted on launch
>Rex is sort of neat but also got added in the same update as enemies that completely shut him down and make him totally useless after a certain point in the run
I'd much rather they just focus on transferring RoR1 characters to 3D, since that process alone usually makes them feel entirely new anyways.
Will it be gimped the same way the vita version of the first game was?
It's on a Nintendo platform. Yea Forums will shill it for a couple days and it'll be forgotten in a week.
How is this impressive when compared to kbm?
>it'll be forgotten in a week
Hi summerfriend
Stop hogging the wifi dad
But 1 had no item balance whatsoever.
>3rd world SNOYtard
>call others poor
Every fucking time.
playing RoR on the go sounds comfy RoR1 was on the vita iirc
nothing makes me lose my shit more than opening a chest, seeing green and getting a fucking chronobauble as one of my first items.
It had better item balance that RoR2, though, save for the obvious "holy shit this is broken" items like infusion.
>getting excited for a no name indie title
Wow the switch actually has no games
Nothing new.
That's what made RoR1 fun, though. The items were unbalanced as fuck, and they needed to be because lategame elementals like the invisible fuckers were even more busted.
