It really isn't. You're finally put into the boots of the all powerful Dracul and they de-power him instantly and even remove Dracula's most iconic moves, instead you get stealth sections because the lord of all vampires is too weak now. Gothic environments? I hope you didn't like those enjoy industrial factories instead. Semi-decent plot and GOAT narration from the first game? gone. And it's all because the dev's became arrogant due to the success of the first game. It's not 0/10 tier but it's completely deserving of the negative reception.

Even giving you all those points it's still not a bad game and doesn't deserve all the hate it gets.
And the stealth sections were short and there were like 3 of them throughout the game

You shouldn't be doing any stealth as the lord and master of the night. It should have been a blood soaked nightmare filled with familiars, fireballs, and turning into a huge demon to slap Zobek. Like I said it's not a bad game but it's a poor sequel to a surprisingly decent title.
