>finished 2 and 3 on pc
>run absolutely fine
>start playing the first
>runs like piss
Is the first one a bad port?
First PC port seems like it was an after thought and also done by third-part company. 2 and 3 are in-house and somewhat planned for it.
>want to replay the games
>remember ME3 exists
>actually wanting to play bad gameplay storyshit
Haven't we finally come around to the fact that pretty much every single game since the mid-90s is not worth playing?
there is a thing to modify in the config, i dont remember what.
works fine on my machine
>Play ME1 and have a blast with MEUITM
>Playing ME2 right now
Why is it so fucking HEAVY?
>games
?
there weren't any sequels to mass effect
if you have it in origin you have to disbale in game overlay
user, stop
sequels to mass effect 3*
There, fixed it for you
ruins it for me, too. Hard to engage yourself when everything feels futile because it ends so poorly
Install MEHEM
ME2 was trash, come on
>the entire galaxy switched to thermal clips in 2 years
Even people stranded on a planet for 10 years!
But does it have romanceable Quarian waifu?
Didn't think so, bud.
For a reason
>Always the same autist.
You don't get ammo on the planet Jacob's father is stranded though and they never even imply they run on thermal clips. I also don't think it's that hard to install a universal thermal clip in a universe with light speed travel. Somehow you don't seem to care about Mass Effect 1's Fallout 4 tier writing like the conversation with Sovereign on Virmire and "you wouldn't understand lol" for example.
>You don't get ammo on the planet Jacob's father is stranded though and they never even imply they run on thermal clips.
Yes, you do.
>I also don't think it's that hard to install a universal thermal clip in a universe with light speed travel.
What?
>Somehow you don't seem to care about Mass Effect 1's Fallout 4 tier writing like the conversation with Sovereign on Virmire and "you wouldn't understand lol" for example.
Where did this come from?
Nope, prove it then.
>Gets BTFO with his own claim about changing out the cooldown system with thermal clips
>W-What?
Nigger learn to read, germutt chimp. The world in Mass Effect is connected by FTL mass relays and quantum entanglement. How should weapon producers not be able to replace the overheating system with an simple and universal cooling system, taking one (1) kind of thermal clip that's used everywhere except for heavy weapons?
>Where did this come from?
Because you literally cry about muh thermal clips in every thread you absolute retard.
>Inb4 t-that's not me h-haha
Sovereign isn't really comparable with fallout 4, on fallout 4 the excuse falls flat, in mass effect it adds to the mystique and teases at future explanations in the trilogy (admittedly the explanations sucked and the series would be stronger w/o them but what can you do)
>Nope, prove it then.
Easy. GO DO THE MISSION.
>finite ammo > infinite ammo
So no proof then. However even when why would anyone care about a gameplay choice?
Stop replying to me twice you retard. Not everyone wants babby tier shit where you have to hide behind every wall and wait for your gun to cool down.
>However even when why would anyone care about a gameplay choice?
Because it makes the gameplay less distinct and practically makes very little sense, it's not as if the later games aren't plagued by these sort of logistically impossible and immersion obliterating changes (Cerberus being a huge military operation in 3 is another example)
If you think this stuff doesn't matter much then why defend it? Why not just say you don't care and move on?
>playing ME2 after ME1
Even the Geth!
>lovecraftian cosmic horror doesn’t care to explain why the Reapers consume the galaxy because you’re so small and insignificant
VS
>your son who wants you on his side and wants to do whatever it takes to convince you he’s in the right
Haha lole xD
>Putting 5 thermal clips on a planet now changes everything
Ok. Meanwhile Mass Effect 3 does in fact have the best combat and uses thermal clips instead of cooldown (inb4 but some weapons do use it and they're powerful because of lore, not gameplay!!1)
I really don't see how it makes less sense to install a system that's better and achieveable because they don't live in the 21th century and have to go through the slow machining etc. Also Cerberus was literally explained ingame. They kept low in Mass Effect 2 and in 3 went full private military because they lost Shepard and gained new methods for super soldiers. Since they're privately funded by rich people they also have far more money and resources than any military, just like irl. Hell you don't even seem to care about the fact that Saren in ME1 was 50% reaper/geth and went through numerous scans, yet nobody in the citadel says anything about it even after the Geth attack.
>If you think this stuff doesn't matter much then why defend it? Why not just say you don't care and move on?
5 thermal clips on a planet for gameplay reason aren't worth throwing a hissfit over like you do. It's also ironic for you to post this since you always complain about every Mass Effect after 1 due to contrarianism and not playing the games for needed lore knowledge.
>>lovecraftian cosmic horror doesn’t care to explain why the Reapers consume the galaxy because you’re so small and insignificant
Right, because they didn't see Shepard as a threat nor did they tell him after Mass Effect 1.
>because they didn't see Shepard as a threat
Not until after ME1, because he literally killed Sovereign. Why would Sovereign fear Shepard when the Reapers fear him because he killed Sovereign? Derp.
Shepard didn't do it alone. It was him/her their squad that did it's puppet in and the military took out the actual reaper. Why single out Shepard?
You 1 okay game over 10 years ago shut the fuck up already
Go home your drunk
Because Shepard was the one who lead the squad that killed Saren.
Why are we even discussing this? Did you completely miss my point about how the Reaper thing is different from Fallout 4?
Frankly, I don't know where this discussion is anymore or who's arguing with who.
Should I play ME:A? I want more ME content and I have a relatively high jank tolerance (ME3 was fine up until the starchild appears).
It's a Mass Effect game in name only. It's a terrible fanfiction in game form.
>Sovereign literally tells Shepard how they see him as a threat in Virmire
>lol not after the first game
user, Shepard literally ruined all things Saren did and he even tells him that and how he underlying pisses his pants
>ME3 apologists are now trashing ME2 to make 3 look better
It doesn't work, it's a broken, miserable, unwarranted game. You can't fix it by association, you can't fix it with shitty excuses. It's a mournful mistake of a game and will go down in history as such.
I will never stop being mad.
I enjoyed ME2 as a standalone but that shit was pure filler in the context of the whole trilogy. There was no need to devote an entire game to what basically amounts to a longass sidequest storyline in which an entire new cast of characters are revealed and developed only for the majority of them to play very insignificant roles in the next game.
>>Sovereign literally tells Shepard how they see him as a threat in Virmire
>My kind transcends your very understanding. We are each a nation - independent, free of all weakness. You cannot grasp the nature of our existence.
>We have no beginning. We have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, we will endure.
>We are legion. The time of our return is coming. Our numbers will darken the sky of every world. You cannot escape your doom.
>Your words are as empty as your future. I am the Vanguard of your destruction. This exchange is over.
Yeah really sounds threatened by Shepard lmao
Every game in the trilogy brings the others down, they're better experienced as stand alone games
The story isn't good either. Just generic chosen one save the universe from unknowable evil bullshit.
>Reading comprehension
Sounds like Sovereign is totally not insecure.
Just finished 2 last night. I've only played through the whole trilogy once. I always play 1 then 2 and never complete 3. This time I'll make it.
Also why are there zero (0) good space RPGs?
There's no chosen one story and the unknowable evil is not generic as it's introduced 2/3 if the way through a grounded sci-fi setting essentially acting as a plot twist and a genre twist
Terrible combat, terrible story, terrible characters, crafting, etc.
Calling it fan fiction like is pretty apt.
Jumping around with jetpacks/biotics was pretty fun though.
Suvi, and the onee-san Turian girl, were the only bright spots
Bunch of negative buzz in here.
I thought ME3 was alright, but then again I played it after all the DLC was released.
I loved ME1, then I played ME2 immediately after and loved it too. 3 broke my heart and rekt my interest in the series and my respect for Bioware as developers. I haven't played a single one of their games since..
2 would have been a lot better if it had nothing to do with Shepard, and previous characters served only in cameo roles.
Protag could have been Miranda, or some other Cerberus hotshot.
>ME1: dude geth, now reapers!
>ME2: here, have something else than reapers and geth with the threat being existant but not making up everything
>ME3: dude reapers!
The game should've started out as a free to explore game in the first place. I rather care about the whole Mass Effect universe rather than just the great threat.
Calling it fan fiction is stretching it. Usually people making them know their source material.
I fucking love the original trilogy, it's one of my favorite in all of media. I was so hype for Andromeda, and I continually looked past all the flaws and shortcomings.
When I found out Suvi was lesbian only, that was the last straw. Quit the game for good immediately. I just couldn't put up with all the other bullshit.
ME2 is the game I think of as fanfic. Really good fanfic that expands faithfully on established characters and introduces some new ones, but the plot is a mess and can't affect canon and it ends up more as a collection of short stories.
>Usually people making them know their source material.
Usually.
But these faggots didn't know anything.
>Kett have never encountered biotics before
How? Biotics is caused by exposure to element zero in the womb. Humanities first biotics were born before the first contact war.
Almost all species have some biotic members in the milkyway.
Element zero is found in Andromeda. The "mass effect" is the only way to travel faster than light. In order to manipulate C the way the "mass effect" does requires eezo. Ergo Kett and Angara ships use eezo.
The Kett have absorbed many species according to the archon, how is it none of them had biotics?
>Ryder can communicate with the Angara the moment he meets them
The Angara don't have universal translators, and even if they did the Angaran language data wouldn't have been added to the milkyway translators database yet, nor milkyway languages to the Angaran ones.
>krogan
Everything about how the krogan are written.
>Asari
There are no politically powerful or influential Asari, considering that's their thing there should have been.
I could go on, but phone posting is shit.
Damn. Why you people can't just enjoy videogames without "analysing" every fucking aspect of them? Stop ruining everything for yourselves.
Knights of the old republic was better
>ywn see Shepard build Tali a home on Rannoch
Wait, aren't we introducing harmful bacteria to a previously somewhat sterile world?
stop posting that retarded "update"
Who pissed in your cereal?
best dlc
I think (don't quote me I'm not a biologist) that someone said because of our bacteria being levo and quarians being dextro the bacteria we drop off on Rannoch can't survive very long since they have no source of food. unless they can get energy from the sun in which case yeah we just biologically nuked Rannoch
I don't remember that scene...
I had a lot of frame issues with 1. Then I figured out that for some retarded reason the game runs off your integrated graphics card instead of your real one. If you use a nvidia gpu, go to the nvidia control panel and force the .exe into using your good graphics card. Solved all of my lagging.
