I agree with you but it will be more fun after couple of seasons. The reason for that is now even if you lose 5 placement matches you still will be placed somewhere around your total mmr which leads to ranked full of people who don't belong to their ranks because they only know how to play one role. However it does place you a little worse if you lose 5 matches so if you lose another 5 system will probably find out your actual mmr although it would take like a year.
